A thick slice of tomato on a hot biscuit with or without melted butter is my favorite food from my rural blue collar Southern childhood. Anyone else ever eat this delightful delicacy?

My middle son and I had this treat for dinner a few days ago. I used frozen biscuits -- very good but certainly not in the league with the ones my Granny made every morning.

never heard of it, but I may have to try it!

::yes::

Yep, I love it. If I could only find some good tomatoes.

I really like homemade biscuits and tomato gravy.

Add some good bacon and then you have something.::yes::

Actually had that same thing for breakfast this morning. Nothing better then fresh homegrown tomatos on...well, anything actually.

Homemade biscuits, sausage gravy and sliced tomatos!

Especially if the tomato is a German Johnson!!
