I have several projects that need attention:

1.) Photo Albums, back up photos, pictures in frames. Anything pictures, they all need an organized home. I bought the albums. I think I have two sets of leather albums I bought probably a year ago.

2.) Cards. I'm up for suggestions on this one. I have saved just about every card my children have gotten. I'm thinking of combining the photos and cards doing some special scrap booking and discarding some for sure.

3.) Re-organizing rooms. De-cluttering.

That's my short list. What's yours?

Unfortunatly I always have a bajillion work in progress projects and rarely any completed ones :rolleyes1

My short list is-
Thank you cards from my daughters birthday.
Figure out what to do with a bunch of Christmas and Harry Potter fabric I got for free.
Make a thankful tree for the kiddos.
See the bottom of my laundry basket!!!

Tell me about it! I have sewing projects that are stacked and in a corner of our closet. I have some favorite character t-shirts I plan to make into special blankets for the kids. Haven't gotten anywhere with this. I bought the fleece, all I have to do is prep the shirts and sew them on.

I bought a really cute Disney quilt that was on a great sale. Silly me. I knew it was too small. I thought I'd just sew some (stuffed) chenille fabric around the edges and put some pom-poms around it. Great idea. Haven't done a thing with it yet. :upsidedow

I'm right on the ball with all the crafty projects since I really enjoy those. Scrapbooks are up to date, I recently finally finished a cross stitch picture for my sister and got it framed and all ready to go for Christmas, and I'm now working on a cross-stitch baby blanket for a non-existant baby. :lmao: Since they take me about 6 months, I like to have a spare on hand.

What I'm behind on is the decluttering. I have a bunch of stuff I need to sort through and set aside for a garage sale in the spring. I want to get everything all ready so all I have to do is pull it out when the weather is warmer. It will probably take me all winter at the rate I'm going. :lmao: Also, DD's at college and I really need to go through her room and get rid of some of the stuff she's had for years and no longer wants.

This weekend, I'm getting all the Christmas stuff out and getting rid of the items we no longer use. A step in the right direction, anyway!

Excluding the wealth of housework that needs to be done....

I have a beautiful bird cross stitch I've been working on for 2 years. It is a multi-page design and my goal is to complete a page each winter, so I have a couple more years to finish this. I do this as something relaxing and enjoyable, so I have no time schedule.

The other thing I need to do is try to work on some home-made agility equipment for my dog.

I would like to organize my digital photos in some way as well. Winter is a great time to do some of these projects since yard work slows down.

I like to say that I don't DO crafty things I OWN crafty things!

Currently working on a Thanksgiving counted cross stitch started two years ago, which is almost done. I put aside knitting a baby blanket started early this year, also for an as yet non-existent baby, to work on the cross stitch. I have a Christmas granny square crocheted afghan set aside that I started three years ago, which is about 1/3 done. I'll pick that up when I finish the Thanksgiving project because I like to work on seasonal projects during their season. It takes awhile but things do eventually get done. I just framed a Halloween witch cross stitch that I finished in 1996. Probably shouldn't mention the 1/2 finished latch hook rug I started when my now 25 yo was one.

We just bought our first house so I have projects gallore in front of me. I am almost done with DS's new room. It's a Cars theme. I have to put some pictures up on the walls and the rest of the stickers. Then we need to get one last piece of furniture from the garage up there, but I can't lift it with DH so we are waiting for my brother to come tomorrow to finish that.

Then it's on to unpacking all his toys and organizing the younger stuff for his DS. I'll put that in the closet of the new nursery. Once I get the basic house stuff unpacked and the garage a little more organized I will start working on the nursery and our room.

I think I am going to do them together. The nursery is currently mint green. All of it is mint green. The walls, the doors, the trim ... everything. I am going to do a chocolate bottom 1/3 of the wall, white trim, white chair rail and a light blue on the top. I am doing our room in Chocolate and blue too (yes, I'll probably get tired of it!) so I think I'll do the priming and painting togehter.

That's it for me ... nothing fun yet!

I'm working on a craft project that I'm giving as Christmas gifts.

My grandmother, who died 10 years ago at 99 years, old loved to crochet. She left a cedar chest full of crocheted doiles, potholders, shawls, towels and pillowcases (w/crocheted edges). I snuck some of the potholders out when my mom wasn't looking so I could use them to make gifts.

My dad does woodworking as a hobby. I enlisted him to make some shadow boxes - basically a 10 x 10 inch box with a glass front (much like a picture frame but a little deeper). I'm going to mount the potholders inside the boxes and put a small picture of my grandmother in the middle. I'm giving these to my parents, uncle, sister and brother and keeping one for myself. I figured this would be a good way for everyone to enjoy grandma's crochet work and be a good rememberance of her for all of us.

That is such a sweet and thoughtful gift! Wonderful of you. :)
