Am I the only one who now wears a hoodie to the movie theater? I've done this for several years, ever since hearing sooooooooo many stories about lice exposure. LOL

Do you know that I had never given this a thought until last week when watching "Despicable Me". It went through my mind an, of course, that's all it took. I'll probably take a hoodie next movie I go to and make sure my head isn't on that headrest thingee. And now I'll think about it on the plane and ... *sigh*

But wouldn't you have thought that I would have thought about this before?? lmbo

I don't think a hoodie is going to solve the problem. We've had kids get lice at school because all the jackets were thrown in a pile and they traveled from jacket to jacket. They can just as easily go from the seat, to your hoodie, to your hair. Just takes them a bit longer to get there.

I don't wear the hoodie on my head and only use it as a buffer between me and the headrest. I would think it'd work great! LOL

Buckalew, I actually do this on airplanes too. Have only done it the past few years though.......I simply don't think I could deal with head lice. I itch from an eyelash dropping onto my skin and just the mere thought of lice makes me itchy. *scritch*

p.s. to Buckalew *scritch* good name for a squirrel no? LOL LOL

*Scritch* is a good name. I'll have to remember that. I would love to show you his picture after next weekend but that might be hoping for a lot.

Oh and maybe I'll just put a clear plastic bag on my head and cut holes in it to breath. Might make the movie blurry and scare passengers but it'll keep the lice away. lol

Now I scritching. ;)

I do this too ever since my friends whole family caught lice at the movies:scared1: I put the jacket/sweatshirt over the seat so my head never touches the seat. Then it goes right in the wash. My dh thinks I'm nuts:lmao::lmao:

I doubt your the only one; but I don't do it. But, I do pull my hair up........

:rotfl::rotfl::lmao: Why limit it to the movies; lice can be anywhere....

Good lord people, what have you started??!!! Now I have something else to add to my list of worries.....

Thanks....thanks A LOT ;)

OMG, why did you have to bring this up!! I don't think I will ever be able to go the the theater again. I have managed to go 30+ years without getting lice and now I think I might be tempting fate I go to the theater or on a plane or anywhere else that my head my touch something where someone else's head may have touched.

Thanks a lot and I hope you know that you are now responsible for my therapy bill. ;)

Great, our last hope and salvation against lice has just flown out the window. :headache:

Unless you're able to take your hoodie off without it touching your head you are living with a false sense of security. I can't take mine off without it touching my head. I've never seen someone else do it either. BUT if it makes you feel better...

No.

I've never thought about it before and I don't plan to start now.

Oh, my goodness. Is that why so many people wear their hoodies up in the movie theatre????

I thought it was gang related. Glad to know it's phobia-related instead! (I'm more afraid of hoodie-wearing gang-connected people sharing my movie theatre than I am of getting lice.)

I can. It's a wide V neck. There's also such a thing as a zip up hoodie. :p

Nope, never crossed my mind to wear a hoodie to the movie theater.

That is still not going to keep lice away, if it's on the seat.

Wearing a hoodie would just be a little too over the top for me.
