Don't get me wrong. It's a cute show. However, I find getting in and out of the theater to be so awful that I could gladly miss it. The only reason I saw it on my last trip was because my sister had never seen it before and wanted to go. Disney usually manages crowds so well. I just think something could be done to make getting in and out of there a little easier.

I also think parts of the show are a little random. I get the whole dream/nightmare thing - what confuses me is the Pocohantas part. A lot of the show is watching movie clips on water - which is a cool effect, but not something I have to see over and over.

Ok - I'm ready! Flame away! :flower1:

I understand completely. I love the show, but could gladly do without the chaos that ensues before and after. Usually the only time we go is if we have guests down here who haven't ever seen it.

Have you ever thought of doing the Fantasmic dinner deal? That will bypass the mess of getting in, and you get dinner, too!

I think that whole area is bad...why have a dead end with three of the biggest attractions (Fantasmic, TOT, and RNR)? Doesn't make sense to me! I like fantasmic, but it's not a must see for us. We usually do it every other trip. We'll be seeing it in December because it'll be DS's first trip and my mom's first trip in over 15 years.

I agree. Technologically, it's great. The film clips on the water spray are inspired. But the story has always felt disjointed. The parade of unrelated characters (highlighted by a Pocahontas skit, of all things) seems forced.

I could close every night of my stay with Illuminations, but we didn't even bother with Fantasmic last time.

Can't stand the show. Don't find it technically interesting or fun in any way shape or form. :earboy2:

Sorry to be such a downer about a favorite attraction to many. pirate:

I understand everyone feels differently about attractions, I actually love it and it's great...but I have been at it when it's poured down raining and they've cancelled it and we're all walking out in the rain, puddles, etc., and I had to laugh...what else can I do?? But if you don't want to deal with the crowds, you might want to look into the dinner packages.... :flower1:

Disjointed - that was just the word I was looking for!

Not a big fan here, especially after missing the show due to rain cancellation 2 years in a row after eating an early dinner at Hollywood and Vine for PS.

I am not a fan of sitting without back support either.

After seeing the DL version, the WDW one is not so great. Saw it once, because my DH hadn't seen it, he was not amused, so we don't bother anymore =)

I really like the show, but usually only do it every 2nd or 3rd trip. I really don't enjoy the hassle of trying to get in and then keep my 3 kids entertained while waiting for it to start. :earseek:

I think the show is technically wonderful, but in need of serious updating. You're right, the Pocahantas scenes are out of place and should be replaced with either classic Disney characters or more recent material.

It's definitely a show worth seeing at least once, but doesn't hold up well on repeated viewings. As opposed to other nighttime entertainment, like Illuminations or Wishes, which we joyously watch again and again.

I think it's ok but if you thought it was a mess at WDW you should see it at DL. People stake out spots in the walkways way before show times, as showtime gets closer there can be virtually no sidewalk left. Then when the show starts you must be prepared to stand your ground physically or be moved to a less desirable location.

As to the DL being superior, I didn't see it although I DID like DL way more than MK overall.

Another non fan of Fantasmic here. I guess the thing that spoiled it for me is when the Riverboat goes and docks on the left hand side of the stage...all the characters leave EXCEPT Ariel. The throw a tarp over here and leave her there. Reminded me of a body bag.

Yikes! :earseek: I didn't realize so many people didn't care for this show.

I guess I'm gonna be the odd one out and say that I love it! I truly enjoy it and would be sad to miss it on any trip. We always do the dinner package, so maybe that's why I don't find it to be much of a hassle to get in and out of.

Ok, flame away at me here. . . .

If there are so many dislikes why the crowd!!

I agree that it needs to be updated, and We do this only once with the dinner package and Illuminations and Wishes alternating nights. But boy, that long, long, walk to and from.

They have the big attractions together due to a generatot between ToT and RnR, I read this on another board.

Sorry, what is a "generatot"? Never heard of it!

We saw it once, won't bother to see it again. With some of the reviews I read on this board before seeing it, lead me to think it was going to amaze me...it didn't, lol. I no longer read anything that talks or reviews a certain ride anymore because of this, I don't want to get all hyped up and disappointed again.

The DL version is much better. Although, the seating style, at WDW, is so much better. I don't even bother seeing, the show, at WDW, anymore.
