Do you ever sneak dollar bills in the change jar?

I do here and there - but I bury the bills so no one can see them LOL...I just can't wait until we take it in and Tim watches them pull out a bunch of dollar bills! He still hasn't realized that when my wallets empty, I haven't spent anything!

Yes!! And $20 bills!

Once, when DH had a really outstanding week (he is self-employed), he threw MAJOR BUCKS in the change jar and tried to wait and see my reaction...but he was so excited that he fessed up within a few hours, before I could even notice the difference in the change jar!

I normally throw $1 in at the end of the week. We'll use them for mousekeeping. Another thing we do is double whatever we "borrow" from the Mickey jar (you know those last days just before payday & you only have $2 in your wallet or DD wants ice cream with lunch! ) That really helps, too!

I throw in whatever I have left, which usually isn't much, however, after a year and a half of doing this, we've managed to save over $700. We call it our Disney Fund! I tell my husband to always use bills at stores and not extra change so we always have something to put in there, even if it is just a few pennies.

We just took our change to the bank today - it was $242.00 - change only!! We have been saving sporadically for the last 2 years - but in the last 2 months all change went in the jar. Our bank ran it through their machine for free - we just deposited it into the Disney account for next month!!

I sneak a few in now and again. I have one of those big crayola crayons. On the side of it I have DVC fund Guess what I am saving for. Might take me a while but thats ok.
