Inspired by the CB: Do you believe in Heaven and Hell?

For me, yes I do. I believe that there is a Heaven and a Hell.

Heaven being, where the souls will go for eternity and will be with The Lord God Almighty.

And as far as Hell goes... I believe that for those who don't believe will burn in Hell for all eternity and will be tormented for all of eternity. That they'll also be separated from God. I also believe that everything that is writen in the scriptures of the Bible say so much about Hell and describe it very well to give me a good decription of what it is and how people will be tormented and will be burned in Hell forever in eternity.

I believe in it. I believe in the Word. I believe in the Lord.

Like I said with my other thread that was inspired by the CB:

I know that this can be a bit of a touchy subject...please, please be respectful to everyone's beliefs, even to those who you may not fully agree with and or who you don't agree with at all.

I believe that if you don't ask for forgiveness in your sins then you'll go to Hell. And if you ask for forgiveness then you'll go to Heaven, unless you've done something really horrible.

I believe in both, but I don't believe that those who don't believe in God will automatically go to Hell. I believe that as long as a person lives their life in the best way they can, they'll go to Heaven. May God look at them as they walk in, smirk and be all "I told you so"? Maybe. But I honestly don't believe that he's so cruel that he'd send an otherwise innocent soul to Hell for not believing in something they couldn't see during their mortal life.

I believe that god sent you to earth to do as many good deeds as possible.

If you do good deeds that is a merit to go to heaven.

If you do bad deeds you merit to go to hell unless you repent with a good deed.

Going to a Catholic church I had to believe in both. The easiest way to put it is I fear in Hell, but I don't know for sure if it exists. I love the idea of Heaven, and I want to believe in it, but I don't know if it's there.

I believe in reincarnation. After that I guess I believe in enlightenment or nirvana wheather that is some sort of heaven I don't know.

i believe in both.
i believe that if you chose to have a relationship with God and spend your life with him, you go to heaven. if you decide that you dont want God in your life, you go to hell.
it's not that he likes to send people to hell. he respects our choices. i guess the easiest way to put it is that he gives us what we wanted in life for eternity - either spending it wiht him or spending it without him

I don't like the concept of hell. God's like 'Worship me or you'll burn in hell for eternity!' Yeah, no.

I don't believe in heaven either (or God). But when I used to be on the fence about God, I never believed in hell. The God I wanted to believe in was forgiving and selfless. Like someone else said, if you live a relatively innocent and good life then God can just be smug as he lets you in the doors. Haha.

But I'm 'atheist' and I'm not sure what to believe about the afterlife. With all my heart I hope that's in not...nothing. Nothing would be worse than Hell I think. My mind just won't really accept anything but science.

Putting science and my logical mind aside, I hope we re-unite with lost loved ones and are able to look upon and give assistance to our loved ones that are still alive.
