..at Big Lots, Dollar Tree, or related stores?

One time I saw a whole end cap of bottled water...from Mexico!

I have an Ocean State Job Lots nearby; I'll have to go look. The strangest one that I can remember actually buying was the roll of parchment paper where the only English words were "Made in USA". Everything else was in, as best we can tell, Czech and two related languages. No Romance or Germanic languages though.

I believe the sign on the counter told shoppers what was inside the boxes. :)

Dollartree - home pregnancy test kit - I'm sure that really reliable.

Actually, the Dollar Tree pregnancy tests ARE reliable. Their sensitivity is the same (and actually better) than some of the $15 tests. When we were trying for a year I *always* used the Dollar Tree tests. When a first response test said no, a DT test said yes (and I was!!).

It actually is reliable - and a Godsend for people TTC and undergoing fertility treatments, etc. :flower3:

Actually I don't appreciate your testy tone. I have been thru 2 cycles of fertility treatments and never once after spending $10,000 a cycle did my specialist tell me to go to dollartree and pick up a test kit. Any tests done during fertility cycles are performed by professionals.

Whoa, didn't take her answer to be "testy" at all.. pretty straightforward imo.

I TTC 1st dd for 18 months, and would've loved to have known that there were cheaper pg test kits out there... spent a fortune on those dumb things, along with ovulation predictor test kits.

When I took Clomid (years ago, before $1 tests), I was told to get a drug store test if I wanted to know before I saw my OB-GYN.

My favorite *** item in a dollar store is the potted meat that are 3 for 1 dollar. :rotfl:

Testy? :confused3

I thinks she's just pointing out that the tests are reliable.

Whoa, slow down, gillenkl. I don't think the PP meant/displayed any testiness. And, for the record, they are just as reliable as the major brands; my DC keeps them around since they don't use BC, and they've never been wrong. Also, I usually include them in my donation bags to the local women's shelters, and I have never had them declined by the staff.

I don't think one is strange, but it's strange to me that I could never find them again. I bought some small collapsible boxes once, and went back a month later and no one had any idea what I was talking about. I should have purchased more the first time!

whatever, the OP asked what I thought was funny and I told her. we choose to disagree. fine. let's drop it and get back to the OPs question.

And I'm sure there was nothing "testy" about that, either. Whatever, indeed.

At a Dollar Tree in my area, they once had a trial pack of "Inbetweenies". I'll never forget them. They were like those "Size 5" and "Size 6" diapers, only THESE were like Pull-Ups for BIG kids. :confused3 They were "Hecho En Mexico", with mostly Spanish writing on the packaging.

With this pregnancy, I used 4 tests from the 99 cents store. My last pregnancy, 100 years ago, I took 3 of the $15 tests and got two NOs and 1 maybe (there was seriously the faintest line possible showing). Took a blood test to get a positive. With the 99 cent tests, I bought 4 *** hey, was only $3.96 and figured if even one said positive then I would go buy an expensive test. Well, all 4 of those tests came back positive within 60 seconds of the urine hitting them. Hilarious!!! So, yeah, wish I had known about these when we were TTC for a year last time!! HAHAHAHA!

And I still think they are super funny to see there, but it's nice to know they work!

I LOVE the dollartree pregnancy tests. I TTC this baby for 10 months and spent soooo much money on pregnancy tests. I would start testing around 10DPO and just get addicted! The dollar tree tests saved me a lot of money the last few months!

Wow, you started testing early, :upsidedow

You do know that on average the baby doesn't even implant until about 21-24dpo or so, right? lol!

You can very easily get a positive at 10 DPO. I got one (on a Dollar Treet test) at 9 DPO. I don;t know off-hand when implantation occurs, but HCG is produced as early as 8 DPO.

"Actually", when I went through my $15,000 IVF/egg donor cycle I was told by my specialist that I could test at home. I of course had to go for my official beta too.

Oh and got a positive with the twins 6 days after my Embryo Transfer.:goodvibes
