Doesn't bother me at all. It's funny that a noise that makes one person want to poke a needle through their eardrums can have absolutely no effect on the next. I'm an ice chewer who can't stand loud gum chewers, and I used to work with a loud gum chewer who can't stand ice chewers. We didn't know we were driving each other crazy.

One of my cube neighbors does it and it is really annoying. A coworker made a joking comment about it one day and she said she does it because it is so hot. Well you could wait til it cools down a little bit or put a little cold water in it.

I'm not so much annoyed by coffee slurpers as I am by soup and cereal slurpers. I don't understand people who feel like any liquid consumed from a spoon must be slurped!!

My aunt has a very annoying habit of slurping the last bit of a milkshake through a straw. Apparently it's "her favorite part".

Gum chewers, ice chewers, soup slurpers, mouths open, mouths closed, loud chompers... none of those bother me like hearing some one suck liquid through a straw.

My drinking noise pet peeve: still trying to get some liquid when there's only ice left in your cup!! My ds will have an empty cup with just ice and keep tipping the cup to his mouth. The ice hits his mouth, he get no liquid, he'll put the cup down.....repeat. Go fill it up already!! Drives me nuts!! dd will do the same thing but with a straw. No matter how many times you suck on that straw, the cup is still going to be empty!!!

My dad is a slurper...

I'm sure he does't even realize he does it.

My wife is a "loud chomper" when eating cereal or chips...

I think I'd rather hear someone chew something versus someone slurping something any day. Slurping sounds very gross to me.
