No really all those ppl that are in band do you have any band camp storied... Umm lets see... I dont have any really funny storied but at band camp i was asked out to homecoming! But i didnt go with him and good thing to cause he left his date when he got to the dance! how bout you?

I've got about a million band camp stories, but they're all either not suitable to write here, or not really all that funny

Hmm......Well this one time at band camp, a bloke fell in a river? (Oh the hilarity )

LOL Suzi!! One time, at cheer camp, i had a girl's butt fall on my head because of a stunt gone bad LOL. Didn't hurt to much, but at least the flyer didn't get hurt.

one time at soccer camp we had to go outside and run drills at 2:00 in the morning because they caught us out of bed doing freshmen initiation.

ugh...i leave next sunday for band camp.

since i'm only a sophomore, i really don't have any funny band camp stories. just stupid ones. like last year all the older guys went into the freshman cabin one night w/ shaving cream and stuff...except they were dumb enough to shine flashlights directly into the chaperones' faces. Duh!

hopefully i'll get some better stories this year...

I have been trying to think of other band camp storied... Here is one.... Every year all the freshman get dance cards and they have to dance with 5 seniors. well my freshman year this one guy made me dance with him for 3 min. HE TIMED IT!

I have another question... what do you all do at camp... what ever one it is... We...

All have to be there by 4 the first day. Then dinner. Next its orientation. then Symphonic. then you get free time then sleep!

The next 5 days are..
7:00 am up and breakfast
8:15 to 10 marching
10:30 to 12 Symphonic
12:15 to 1 lunch
1:30 to 3:15 marching
3:15 to 5 break
5:00 to 6:00 Dinner
6:30 to 8:30 Symphomic
then rech till 11 but they have dances 2 nights and you get to bed midnigh to 1 pm

The last day we clean and march and have a show and GO HOME!

For my band camp, we leave on sunday at noon or something and get there by dinner time. then we eat dinner and march from 6-9, then and evening activity. curfew is at 10:30. the rest of the week it's:
6:30- wake up (this is earlier than last year)
7:30- stretch and eat breakfast
8:30- music for about an hour, then marching
noon- lunch
1:00- sectionals and music memorization
3:00- music rehearsal (you dont have to go to this if you already have your music memorized)
4:00- free time
5:00- dinner
6:00- marching
9:00- evening activity
10:30- curfew
11:00- lights out

then on friday we pack, practice the whole show once or twice, go home, eat dinner, and do a show for our parents.

band camp is next week...i am so not looking forward to it!

Our schedule was:

8am: Wake up
9: TTT (That's tone, technique and torture for the non-musical among us )
9:30: Breakfast
10: Tutti warm ups
11: Ensemble playing
1: Lunch
2: We'd have an excursion, to a castle or the market or something.
5: Orchestra playing
7: Dinner
8: We put on a concert
10: We'd do more ensemble playing, or (most often) just sit by the river and chat.
12: Bed

Oooh.....I miss it, it was so much fun!!

woah! we don't actually go to camp! lol

we just go to school from 8-1 like every day until school starts!

and we usually just learn the first song by the time school starts

I can't actually imagine going to camp...but this year some days we have double pratice days! last year they said they wouldn't do that b/c wanted us to have some time to ourselves before school started but all our compition is doing it so I guess we have to also espically since it's a state year!

one time, at soccer camp, we locked a freshman in the bathroom. Ha ha, that was funny. Then when one kid unlocked it, he didn't go out because he was dropping a duece.
