Inspired by mkymouse4ever's thread about CRT???

Just read mkymouse4eve's thread about less than stellar treatment at CRT and I was wondering if it was the same server that we had on our last trip...

We went in December 2003 and made ressies for my DH and I and I invited 2 single DISers with us (Dan Murphy and Simba's Mom) and I could not wait. CRT was my DH's favorite on our first trip.

When we got seated we had a male server, I can't remember his name but then again he paid little attention to us so I'm not surprised that his name escapes me.

He ruined the meal (well he made very less pleasurable)

He was rude and did not care about us at all...I would have left him a PENNY for a tip if it was just DH and I but did not want our guests to think I was cheap. If it was just us, I would have complained to management because he made us feel like we were impossing on him everytime we asked for something.

When we asked him to take our pic as a group, he yeah, yeah'ed us and said in a minute but never came back...It ruined the magic...

I hope that I can get another reservation for our next trip because we have someone special coming with us but if I get that jerk again, I will DEMAND to change to another server...

If you had bad service at CRT, was it a male server???

(I don't think all male servers are this way so no flames...I just want to see if this jerk still works there so I'm prepared.)

Yep, we had him in December of 2002. We had originally made a PS for dinner, but because we'd had a big lunch and our PS was early, no one was hungry enough for dinner. We decided to just order dessert and enjoy the castle, and when we told him we would only be ordering dessert his demeanor changed immediately and he was cold, inattentive and rude the rest of our time there. Maybe he was upset because he figured his tip was now going to be a lot smaller since we weren't ordering big meals.

Fortunately, the kids were so excited to be eating in the castle, and so captivated by Peter Pan and Hook running around the restaurant, that they didn't seem to notice, but my DH and I did and it spoiled the magic for us.

Unfortunately for him, I worked as a server in college and know how hard it is to make a decent living off of tips, and I am a generous tipper when we get good service. He would have been taken care of if he had just treated us kindly.

A little kindness goes a long way...

Hope you have better luck on your next trip! We're going back, this time for dinner and Cindy's Breakfast, so the castle is still a magical place to us
