Some days it is nice to think about the little things in life that just make you smile....

1. When a small child looks at my powerwheelchair and says
" COOL!"
2. When the Starbuck's employee gets my Vente' non-fat almost
dry cappuccino just right...mmmm
3. When my dh leaves me a note on my steering wheel.. BDM
loves JFM...

sometimes it is just the little things in life that make it worth living.
Hope somebody "tickles" you today!

When one of my kids slips their hand in mine while we walk.

When either DDs give me a hug, kiss or tell me they love me.

When DH gives me a compliment or just looks at me that way.

When a flower has bloomed.

When someone has accomplished a goal for themselves, no matter how small it is. This is a big smile with it is DDs that make the accomplishment.

When the sun is shining and you can tell it is going to be a wonderful day to enjoy the outdoors with DDs.

A fresh rain, especially with a rainbow.

Falling snow and me inside by the fireplace.

When someone thanks me for something I didn't even realized I did.

Watching kids play outside.

Listening to the birds in the early morning.

Having a day off work:Pinkbounc

When my kitty climbs into my lap and curls up for a nap.:D

I love the simple things in life.:) They mean a whole lot more to me than the other stuff.:)

getting a letter or an email from a friend :)

holding my kids.

that look in my husbands eye that says "I love you"

That he never leaves without saying that he loves me.

people noticing that Ive lost weight :)

strangers smiling at each other or holding the door open.

The little notes that Stephen leaves for me in the oddest places

When I drive by and people smile (I drive a baby blue Beetle, and it makes people smile)

Singing in church and seeing everyone worship along with me

Seeing a child's face full of wonder

When our 135 lb Alaskan Malamute licks me on the ear as I set his food bowl down. Its his way of thanking me;)

Steve

good friends, a smile

the simple things make all the difference. ;)

When my two year old says "I love-a you mommy"! (She seems to put "a" at the end of some of her words). :D

<font color=navy>I almost started this same type thread last night. :)

I get an emotional high ...

When
- dd or ds give me a hug - just because
- ds grins that silly grin of his, and wants to make me laugh
- dd puts her arms around my shoulders
- I smile at someone and they smile back
- my cat sits on my lap and starts purring
- I need to change lanes, and the car in the next lane makes room for me
- a man opens the door for me
- I get an unexpected compliment
- both rascals and I are all serving Mass at the same time
- I come home and the house is clean
- my ds tells me, "this is a good day"
- I get a friendly pm from a DISer - Marla and Mackey Mouse are so good at this (much better than I am)

I get a kick when I hear my two rascals having a good time together and laughing and laughing (my ds really can make my dd laugh).

Witnessing
- affection from a parent for their child
- young children at play - so cute
- animals at play
- a hummingbird nearby

The first bite of butter pecan ice cream
The first bite of chocolate - especially after a long time

going outside for the first time, and smelling the flowers
going outside for the first time and feeling the sun on my face

watching a comedy with the rascals that we all appreciate and laugh at

There are so many things that make me smile :)

Sleeping on freshly washed sheets.

Buying new lipstick.

A kiss from my puppy.

Hearing my son laugh.

Every now and then we all get the silly giggles here. Something silly will happen and we'll roll with it.

Those times are great. :)

The clean crack of a baseball bat when it connects with the ball. I get goosebumps.

The smell of a new box of crayons.

Seeing a rainbow in the sky.

Greeting friends I haven't seen in a long time.

My first glimpse of the Castle at the foot of Main Street (every single time!)

Getting a picture taken with a good buddy and Mickey.

DisCon!!!

When my son calls from Houston "just because"

Getting a pm!

An unexpected compliment

A gorgeous sunset

Anticipation

a hug from my kids...just because

being silly with friends

sharing with your best friend

groups of scouts singing around a campfire

When I just happen to glance over at my big, beautiful Lab and he is starring at me and starts to wag his tail.

Snowmen. :p Especially little ones, lopsided ones, or ones dressed up.

Palm trees and a warm sun.

The childlike questions my mother asks me about the magic at WDW.

When cats or kittens walk into a room, get a panic look on their faces, run around in cirlces, jump up and run out of the room again! :p We call it "chasing ghosts". :p

Questions that little ones ask or explanations they give.

Easter baskets full of pretty colors and a huge chocolate Easter bunny. :p

Funny words that little ones use such as beeps for grapes, hornicorn for unicorn, stunks for skunks and yellow peas for corn. :p

A really good song that brings back memories from years ago.

A new pair of funky or sexy, non sensible shoes. :p
