Inspired by Jenny's Thread

I would, and I have, on two occasions, because I've only dated two guys. Anyway, it's really difficult to find someone with the same beliefs as me, because I have no religion.

My second ex is a really religious Catholic. Before my beliefs changed, we went to the same church. I have a lot of issues with religion, specifically with Catholicism. I'm glad that we're both still able to talk things out about what I'm thinking.

As for marriage... I've come up with the proposal that my future husband can decide where we get married, as long as I get my honeymoon in Disney.

Also, I wouldn't date a guy who forced their beliefs on me. Discuss them with me, yes. But preach? no.

Absolutely not.

I agree with everything the OP said. And It is so much easier for a Christian to be pulled down to the world's standards than it is for a Christian to pull an unsaved person to Christ. Which means that if I married a nonChristian, I would most likely lose my faith. And the home would run differently if we were two separate religions because of the beliefs and practices.

Ya, I think I would.
It would depend though I guess, as long as they're not pushing their religion on me, everything would be fine.
My BF & I are different branches of Christianity, basically the same thing. We're both pretty agnostic though. He goes to church on Christmas and the big holidays because his parents make him.

I asked him the other day what his religious beliefs were, and coincidentally his answer is exactly the same as mine.
We both believe in a God, but not in the Bible.
(which goes against our religion really, but like I said, we're more on the agnostic side)
He said that he strongly believes in science (because that's what he's studying)

Anyways, my point is, I wouldn't have cared if he had said "I believe in GOd and Jesus as saviours and I live by the Bible etc."
Because we've been together for almost 3 years and this was almost the first time the topic of religion had come up. So it's not a huge deal.
As I said, as long as one person isn't pushing their religion on the other, I think all would be well.
