I am strongly, strongly pro-life. Except in cases where the mother would die in childbirth, abortion is horrible.
yeah. thats what I meant.
What do you think about a rape/molestation case? Specifically with a teenager/child.
) and will probably sound like I'm already yelling and defending myself.]. Okay, my opinions without getting my head to explode (likely the reason it's fairly short and will probably sound like I'm already yelling and defending myself).
I should be legal in every and all cases.
I would never personally get an abortion. And NO, this certainly does not make me a hypocrite.
I feel that adoption is a far superior option but that definitely has the strong possibility of being too emotionally straining for any given person to handle.
HOWEVER, which is worse~a woman getting an abortion or a woman having a baby that she will a) abuse (in any sense) b) neglect (as if it weren't abuse as it is) or c) not be able to care for at all?
It saddens me to think that there are people out there who feel that the former is the worst case scenario.
There are people that need to learn to stay out of people's business~ ESPECIALLY that which has ZERO effect on them. If you think its wrong, then don't get one. If you ever find yourself in that position, you have my full blessing to go ahead and get one.
I wouldn't doubt if what I'm about to quote has already been in here that I have yet to read but here we go...
"I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend TO THE DEATH your right to say it"
Edits to surely follow.
That being said, the idea that people use it as a means of birth control sickens me and pisses me off.
I don't think something a private as a woman's womb can be judged by a majority vote.
The governement needs to stay out of people's personal lives.
period.
they screw enough up.
But what about rape victims? Are the supposed to go through the pain of having a child also?I'm 100% against it. There is adoption and many counties/states have safe haven laws where women can leave the child/infant on the steps/entrance of a hospital or church. My state has that law and it is always an option for someone if they dont want to go through legalized adoption. I mean if someone made the mistake of unprotected sex they should be mature enough to deal with it the right way (adoption or if their teens raise it with their parents help- I have a friend who did just that and she is the proud mom of 3).
Gays/lesbian/bi/transgender- 100% against them having marriage rights. God created Adam and Eve (man and woman)- if gays/lesbians were ok he would have created an Adam/Adam couple and an Eve/Eve couple. But he didnt- enough said.
I guess most peoples' decisions rely on if they think a fetus is a baby or not...

I agree, religion should not be brought into laws.We had this whole debate in philosophy class. about when the fetus becomes a BABY/HUMAN. And when/why it has "rights".
My view, is that the fetus should not have more rights than the woman. That may seem harsh to some, but I don't see why a woman should have to carry an unwanted baby around for 9 months and go through the pain of childbirth in cases of rape or accidents or whatever the case may be.
Alot of people say that they should give them up for adoption, but once again, the woman has to carry the baby for NINE WHOLE MONTHS, if a woman did not voluntarily make that choice, I don't think she should be forced to carry a baby that is unwanted. It would probably cause ALOT of depression, and hatred towards the fetus.
I understand that some religious people will bring religion into the mix. But I don't think by ANY means, that religion should have anything to do with laws.
And that goes for the gay/lesbian rights issue as well.
I agree, what happened to the seperation of church and state? Religion, should not be brought into laws.
Really... Then my civics teacher needs to go back to college. We studied that for a month. I was just repeating what I was taught.Thats not what that law is talking about. That only means that the church can't collect state taxes. It has nothing to do with laws.
(sorry. I just hate it when people misunderstand that law)
