I was a little girl during the Ford administration. My mother and I were shopping one day and I loved wearing buttons, so she bought me a WIN button. I was too young to know what it meant. I thought it just meant you should win at whatever you did. I was 5 or 6. I still have the button, its blue with white letters.

I never had a button, but we have WIN theme for christmas for a couple of years!! Several family members were laid off and couldn't afford to buy christmas gifts, so we had a dollar gift exchange and called it our WIN christmas. It was lots of fun because I still remember it 30 years later!

Whip Inflation Now!

I remember those and I remember the long gas lines from the '70's and only being allowed to get gas on certain days based on your license plate numbers. Ugh, what fun.

At gas wasn't almost $3.00 a gallon then , lol!

I still have a WIN button, a Ford campaign poster, and a President Ford bumper sticker.

I always thought he was a great man in a tough job at a terrible time.
