Anyone who's been active on the music scene in the last few years (or more exactly, anyone who hasn't been living under a rock in the last few years) knows about Green Day. They'd know that they're award winning composers and performers, and they'd know that generally, they are very popular. They may also know that they are pretty political.

Their new song, "Wake me up when September ends", is brilliant, IMO, not just because of the music too, either. If you perchance to watch the video, you'll see a war zone, complete with friends and enemies to boot. People die.

It brings a tear to the eyes to be reminded of the ultimate sacrifice made in war by our soldiers. They're dying out there. I hope this is all over soon.
