Inspired by Catholic Saints thread...do you have a "favorite" saint?

Nobody could be more ignorant about Saints than me, but can anyone tell me if there is a Saint to help sell my house? I say my prayers every night, but I think I'm not getting anywhere for breaking the chain of command, so to speak. I'm going straight to The Father, and I think he must be too busy to hear my silly prayer, and has delegated it to some other. Anyone know? Seems to me, you bury this particular Saints medal in your yard to help your prayers to be heard.

Hmm.. how to explain the liturgical calendar..
Ok Catholics have a cycle of Church seasons (Ordinary time, Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost) called the Liturgical Year. This determines in advance Saint Feast days (actually feast days never change- the calendar just shows the day and which Saint they "strongly suggest" you say Mass in honor of that day), Memorials, Commemorations, etc.. are to be observed, which parts of Scripture are to be read during the Mass, and which colors are to be used. That is all compiled into the Liturgical Calendar.

There's something like 40,000 Saints and 365 days of the year so lots of Saints share feast days. Unfortunately St Christopher got bumped off the calendar because there was a higher ranking Saint that shared the day (I think it was St James the Greater).

When I was a very young girl, I saw the portrait of him by Hans Holbein the Younger, and I felt an immediate, powerful connection to him, even though I had no idea who he was. I really like the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. He is the patron Saint of my church, so I grew up with that prayer, and it's a good one. I don't have any pets, though

Lately, I've been doing a lot of praying to St. Blaise (the patron saint of people with throat ailments), and St. Cecelia (the patron saints of musicians).
