I thought that people just tossed them. :teeth:

Thats what most people I know do with them! I hate it when I open a package and there is a fruitcake in there...one good thing you can do with it though is use it as a door stopper,...it holds the door open nicely when placed on the floor in front of it!

Me, too!

Seriously, though, I would never send a fruitcake to someone that I didn't know really liked fruitcakes!

My mistake this year they are $46.50, it is 2 pounds. Made by Trappist Monks in the Ozarks

Yikes! The fruitcake from Monastery is 2 pounds, 4 ounces. That does it, I'm ordering 2.

I always liked the ones my grandmother got a long time ago from the A & P. I think they were Jane Parker or Ann Page. I occasionally see them around. I love them in little pieces. So does my Dad. Maybe I should check out one of the links and order one for the holidays.

:goodvibes Anyone else like Plum Pudding??? :goodvibes I always loved that at Christmas and have not had it since my Grandma died back in the 80s. Wish I could find a good recipe for one. Of course, only about two people in my family would eat it.

I've never had plum pudding. And if nobody else in your family wants to eat it, it's more for you!

I like Jimmy Buffet's Fruitcakes!! ;)

Oh I love the Claxton fruitcakes. I get a small one every year. I try and let a few slices get stale and then make bread pudding with it. Or rather I get my cousin to make it. LOL She has a great way with bread pudding.

Jimmy Buffet has a CD called Fruitcakes!! :) :) I was hoping a few parrotheads would catch that one!
