I voted for Sub, but I grew up calling it a Hoagie. And a Grinder. to me, is a heated sub and not the same!

but 15 years south of the Manson-Nixon has changed me. I was curious. We had that pancake/hotcake debate, soda/pop, sub/hero debate at a job one time and everyone was a transplant, so it was interesting!

See, now to me, Quiznos is the perfect example of what a sub is NOT. To me, they're Grinders!

And, by the way, you are tempting me to no end -- I am on Jenny Craig and NONE of this is even an option for me!! LOL

Robin Williams used the "Manson-Nixon Line" in one of his stand-up routines many years ago...had me ROFLOL!

I grew up in South Boston and we grew up calling them Spuckies.
I think that's the only place that calls them a Spuckie.....
Then I moved to the Cape where they are known as Subs.
Anyone else ever call them Spuckies? It is weird now that I think of it, but when your a kid you just say what your taught to call things.

From south of Boston, they are subs.
Lynn CC, from an O.F.D. guy (originally from Dorchester), they were subs, but if you were going into Southie to Spuckie's, you were getting a "Spuckie", not a sub.
