Does anyone know how to fold them so they look nice? I sure don't.

I gave up on them. Now I just strive for a nicely wadded sheet instead of a nicely folded one. :D

Nope not me...........................I don't even try anymore!

I follow the nicely wadded technicue also

I try to make it as squared as possible, but it still looks like a wad!

Well, if the kind of laundry says so, then it must be alright. ::yes::

I learned this from Martha Stewart - she showed me and the 20-million others that were watching Oprah how to do it!

But, I'm sorry I can't tell you how to do it. Maybe you can catch the rerun?! I could show you, kinda, if you were here!

I've seen it done on the tv show Clean Sweep. But it took Peter {one of the organizers, I can't remember his last name} another person to do it. I don't know if one person can do it alone, I tried it and I couldn't get it. Then I tried asking my DS to help me, LOL!!! That was a waste of air to even ask. LOL!!!

Like others I just try to make them as a nice wad as I can.

I learned how to do this years ago from "The Phil Donahue Show" they had some lady on one time showing how to do things around the house and this really works. I am not sure I can explain it, but here goes.... Fold your sheets in half long ways. Take the top and the bottom parts that are now together and tuck them under each other so you only have the top and the bottom fitted part on one side. Fold them in half again this time fold in the middle side to side part. You should now have a square thats easy to fold nicely. It was one of those things that you say " Duh, why didn't I think of that" after you see it done!!

Come on, now! There must be someone that can tell us how to do it!

Mine is usually all wadded up, too...but I only have one sheet set right now, so once it's washed, it's right back on the bed again! :teeth:

Martha Stewart taught me as well. I remember seeing the pictures in her magazines.

You put you left hand in one corner, and your right hand in the other corner of the the sheets, sort of holding up so your hands are in "pockets" (the corner of the fitted sheet)

Put you hands together and tuck one corner into the other. Keep one hand there while you slide your hand down to a corner on the floor (you should see me sticking my hands in the air right now folding an invisable sheet  ) The two lower corners should be together now and you tuck them in two and you fold from there.

It works, even if my description doesn't.

was to hook one corner on the finial of the dining room chair, the other end around her hand. Flip the other corners over on top of the first, fold them in half lengthwise, fold in the corners to make like a flat sheet, fold in half again & then again. Once this was done, she would fold the flat sheet so that it was the same size as the fitted, put a pillow case between the two, and then put those three pieces inside the additional pillowcase and put in the linen closet. Then when she had to change sheets, all like pieces were together and she only had to grab one thing.

Did I mention Mom was Obsessive/Compulsive before it had a name?;)

That, in a nutshell, is the secret to having neat fitted sheets ;)

Oh my goodness! Does you mom know that they are looking for a replacement for Martha??

Good idea though. I'll have to try that one.

This is what I've done for years: tuck all four corners into each other (in simplest terms) and then you'll have a sheet that's easy to manage. So not only do I tuck two corners together, I go ahead and tuck the other corners into the excisting tucked corners. Does this make sense? :p

I really like that idea, for my girls anyway. They have sets.
I do too, but my sets are all color co-ordinated with the rest so I can mix and match according to what I feel like that day. I have stripes, florals, and solids that all look good together.
