Inspiration.

This weekend I went to the WRLC {Western Region Leadership Confrence} p[[its a confrence for DECA students on the west coast]]. I probably heard from some of the most inspirational people in the world. One of which was Albert Mensah, if you haven't heard about it, he lived in a town in Africa and completed his dream of going to america. Also I heard from people such as the owner of Jones Soda and the Seattle Sonics. I truely am so thankful for everything and inspired to never let any crush my dreams.

and what are you inspired to do? I'm inspired to express myself in ways that may seem taboo to the average onlooker, but could truely mean something to someone out there.

who inspires you? honestly, my mom. I know it seems cliche, but I just hope I'm half to woman she is, one day. so many reasons.

and what are you inspired to do? i've thought about this alot. finding something that really motivates me, something i honestly, truely care about. i've tried to find something that really means the world to me.1 This isn't all talk, i've thought about it and rolled it over in my mind many nights. i've even talked to people i know, planned things, discussed ideas. and I think i've found it. i want to change the child services system.

it is soo crowded that many times children are over-looked because they just can't spare the resources. i've witnessed first hand social workers trying to sort through reported cases of abuse, trying to decide which ones are critical. it's tough, really tough.

I've seen people in tears about it, and workers completely over-loaded trying to take care of everything. my mom used to stay out 24, 32 hours at a time making sure each and every child had some place to stay. i've seen her make trips to the other side of the state trying to find a foster home for someone. Child services budget is so low too, it's not like they can just hire more social workers.

Anyways, I might not make a dent in the problem, but things have to change.

Woah okay, there's my PSA for the night. Lol.

I saw another speaker that I loved just a couple weeks ago for a club.
I unfortunately forgot his name.

But I've seen all 3 of these people talk and they were great.
I wish I could see them again and again and again.
