Hi all,

My DW and I are planning our first ever trip to WDW and are due to leave in about two and a half weeks - woohoo!

As you guys and gels have been fantastic when it has come to giving us advice on everything else I wondered if I could try and get some inspiration from you all.

As this is going to be our belated honeymoon I would like to plan a surprise for Debbie, my wife.

Basically I'm after some ideas - I don't fancy just taking her out for dinner - I'm looking for something abit special and magically Disney.

Any ideas, as ever, greatly appreciated.

If you are willing to splash out a little, how about planning a private desert party at the Grand Floridian? GF Convention services will help tailor make anything that suits you. We are currently planning a small dinner party for this Christmas and they have been exceptionally friendly and helpful. They can basically throw together anything you want. You can have Mickey & Minnie arriving via boat to the marina and so much more. That would be truly magical. Alternatively, you could book a special Magic Kingdom tour or something. It’s a hard decision when dinner is out! Have fun planning..

Sounds interesting.

I'm not completly against a dinner, but it would have to be something special.

Where's the best place to find info on private desert parties etc. at the GF?

Hiya,

Check out this thread which is a very detailed account of one lady's planning one of these events at the GF.

Cheers

Hi again,

I've found this thread which has loads of great romantic ideas - one of them may be just what you are looking for?

Have fun deciding!

How about Discovery cove special occasion package. The Dolphins would carry an envelope with your own special message to Debbie.:sunny:

Dinner at Victoria and Alberts is very romantic :)

How about dinner at California Grill - overlooking the MK watching WISHES perhaps ??

Thanks for your advice and suggestion - as ever they where excellent.

I've managed to book a pontton boat to watch Wishes from. It sounds nice, just the two of us, a bottle of champagne, the fireworks on the lake.

So thanks again and I'm sure that Debs will thank you all after she finds out.

Hi

Sounds so sweet. What a luck lady.

Have a great time. I am sure you will.

Regards
Michelle

How did you manage to book a boat at such short notice???? you have been so lucky1 hope you enjoy. Also as a thought the GF will do special desserts such as the glass slipper with her name on the plate if you book 4 days in advance, would go lovely with champagne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is this "victoria and alberts" ?
Victoria & Albert's is in the Grand Floridian. Reservations are essential.

Crim1978, I have lots of information and contact numbers/emails for the GF convention services if they are of interest. Just PM. :)

Just looked at the V&A website....."dinner jacket required (tie optional)"......that counts me out !
