Hi all,
Since some spots are soooo popular and crowded for photos, let's get a list started of the out-of-the way photo spots that you like. Maybe we can shed some light for each other on places/things to see.

DD loved Lady and the Tramp when we went three years ago. Someone told me about the statue in Tony's restaraunt. Cute pic!

I don't know the name of the building in the MK, but it's on the far right as you come into the park (far left as you're leaving). It's where they show the old cartoons. Anyway, they have some real cute "sets" for photos in that building.

Instead of looking for spots to take photos, I look for opportunities to take photos other than "I was there, see, I'm standing in front of it" photos. Works best when the subject is unaware.

Good point!! We certainly do that too. We also let DD have her own disposable camera to take photos; she actually takes some pretty good ones too. But one of my favorite shots is to get DD to stand in front of the wooden Indian in Frontierland and take her picture. This trip I get to add DS :) My parents took our photos by it each trip when we were little. It's fun to compare ages, heights, etc. One of these days I'll get more copies made of my childhood ones and frame them w/my kids and nieces and nephews.

I also scrapbook, so I like to get the family in photos I'll use for title pages, etc. That's kind of what I was getting at in the original post.

The best tip I got before our first trip was to take pictures outside all your favorite rides or the rides with interesting stories attached from your trip. They are great.

I completely forgot all about this on our last trip and I was so bummed when I was putting together the book.

I also scrapbook!!! well i take pics everywhere, and my favorites are in front of the rides, also i always take pics of my family walking along i walk behind them and just take a couple as the walk or look around, i also like to get their expresions as they watch the parades, or fireworks, getting authographs, we always take pics in the stores with all the souveniers, we put different hats on, since we cannot buy them all!!
Also of course in front of the castle, in the rides, we take pics of the signs and i use them as titles in my albums, i also take pics of the castle and other icons from behind the tree branches.

I don't know about Magic Kingdom, but at Disneyland, my favorite spot to take pictures is at Snow White's wishing well. Behind the well is a fountain/waterfall with statues of snow white and the dwarves. It is usually a less crowded picture spot in the park. Just make sure you don't go when it's princess meet and greet. Then it is more crowded than other places. :earsgirl:
