I was looking on wdwinfo regarding transporation routes but it doesnt seem to help much almost everything i put in seem to say 1 - 2 hours by bus. Anyways are there any busses that run from one park to the other or do u have to take the bus from the park to a resort then to another park? also are there cabs in front of resorts and parks?

I need to go from the following places, let me know if theres a faster/better alternative.

Ak -> MGM, i thought AK -> AKL -> MGM
MGM -> Epcot, cab or walk?
TL -> GF, bus? i dont know if there is one at any time or only when the park closes, will need to leave TL around 2:30pm.
GF -> ASMusic, cab?
Epcot -> Pleasure island, Bus to downtown disney hotels? i think there are some not sure how far from pleasure island though.
Beach Club -> MK, bus? any available at 8pm or cab

There are busses that go from park to park, with the exception of MK. To get to/from MK you have to go to TTC. For example: MGM to MK: take bus from MGM to TTC and take monorail or ferry to MK. Of course, for Epcot there is a monorail that does to TTC.

Ak -> MGM, i thought AK -> AKL -> MGM

Best bet is to take bus from AK to MGM

MGM -> Epcot, cab or walk

You can walk it or take the boat. They take about the same amount of time but the boat is very relaxing.

TL -> GF, bus? i dont know if there is one at any time or only when the park closes, will need to leave TL around 2:30pm.

I believe there should be a bus from GF that goes directly to TL. It may stop at other resorts, though. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will set the record straight.

GF -> ASMusic, cab?

You could take a cab, if you want. They are all around Disney. If one isn't in front of GF you could ask the front desk to call one. However, you can also take the monorail or launch to MK and take the ASMu bus from MK (resort buses pick up and drop off in front of MK--park to park buses for MK go to TTC).

Epcot -> Pleasure island, Bus to downtown disney hotels? i think there are some not sure how far from pleasure island though.

There are no Disney buses from a park to/from PI. The DTD hotels have their own bus service that picks up guests in a parking space in the lot at each park. I don't know what ID you have to show. Your best bet would be to walk out of Epcot by the IG to a resort (BWI or YC/BC) and take that resorts bus to PI.

Beach Club -> MK, bus? any available at 8pm or cab

If MK is still open there will be a bus directly from BC to MK. If MK is closed by 8:00 pm your best bet would be a cab. However, why are you going to MK after it is closed?

Disney transportation runs about every 20 minutes (more often at peak hours). It is very efficient at getting people from a resort to a park. To get from one resort to another often requires either a transfer at a park or DTD or walking to a nearby resort (if possible).

When going from resort to park you should give yourself a max of 45 minutes. The ride itself will be no longer than 20 minutes, but if you just missed a bus you'll have to wait about 20 minutes for the next one.

oh there are buses that goes park to park? wow thats GREAT! will these busses be located at the same area as other busses?

I thought buses only run at the begining of the day and at the end of the day for water parks TL -> GF.

Beach Club -> MK, I was hoping to catch the Wishes fireworks at 9pm, so I was hoping to leave the Beach club at 8am.

Where does the monorail run/stop? i thought it only serviced MK and most of the delux resorts.

did you mean min 45 minutes or max? if max 45 that would be really fast even if i miss a bus.

also, TTC is that the transfer center thats located in downtown Disney?

Same location as the resort buses. You can't miss them.

I'm not 100% sure about this. They may run them less frequently in the middle of the day. Ask Tyler (Chip and Dale) -- he's the transportation guru.

No problem. If you leave at 8 pm you'll get to MK in time for the 9 pm Wishes.

There are 3 monorail loops. The express route goes only fron TTC to MK and back to TTC. The resort loop runs from TTC, Poly, GF, MK, CR, and back to TTC. It runs in the opposite direction from the express route. The Epcot route runs from TTC to Epcot and back.

Sorry, I meant 45 minutes max. Some people maysuggest leaving an hour to be safe, but I think 45 minutes is more than enought time.

The TTC is actually the parking lot for MK. You cannot walk from the TTCto the MK, however. Walt wanted people to feel they were being transported to another world. Therefore you have to take either the monorail or a ferry to MK.

DTD is kind of out of the way in relation to the parks. Only use that as a transfer point if the parks are closed. However, DTD is definitely worth a atrip. First, it has great shopping including a tremendous Lego store and a HUGE Disney store. It also has some great restaurants. Also at DTD is DQ, Cirque and PI.

Feel free to ask any more questions. By the way, where are you staying? I've been trying to figure it out from your first post but I'm stumped:confused: (wouldn't be the first time).

Thanks for answering so many of my questions XStAnt :)

Is there anywhere where i can get a schedule of all disney transportation and a map of the routes?

I'm staying at ASMu for 8 days the last week of May *bounce*, was going to do POFQ but decided more days instead. lol still second guessing myself on that decision.

Buses to/from Typhoon Lagoon run every 15-20 minutes starting one hour prior to the water park opening until the park clears of all guests.

You can walk from the Contempary to the Magic Kingdom.

[Buses run all day to and from everywhere, water parks included]

[I assume you mean 8 PM? I would leave a little more time as you have to get into the MK when you get there.]

[There are two monorails on that runs through the Monorail resorts and to MK and stops at the transportation and ticket center which is Next to the Polynesian resort, it is NOT in Down Town DIsney. The other monorail also in Trans and Tic. center runs to and from EPCOT]

[There is no transfer center in Down Town DIsney you reach it by car or by bus OR IF you are at Port Oleans Riverside or French Quarter you can reach it by boat]

 Are you sure? The Unofficial Guide says "All Disney lodging guests, whether they arrive by bus, monorail, or boat, are deposited at the park's entrance, bypassing the TTC." (2004 p.433) (I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm just confused.)

Also about the cabs--I can't find my note about it right now, but I feel sure I read that you should always use "Yellow Cabs". Apparently if the front desk at your hotel or guest services calls for you, you get very prompt service. It also seems like I had a phone # so that you could call from your cell phone if you needed to--but I can't find it. Does this sound right?

Oh--I think I just figured it out!

Mears owns 4 different Cabs... Yellow Cab, Checker Cab, Safety Cab, and City Cab. Only Checker Cab can pick up at WDW. Front desk and Bell Services can call you one if one is not already waiting. Thier number is 407-422-2222. (407-699-9999 was thier old number, but they are transitioning to the 2222 number now)
