Aloha DISers!
Kirrrby here, aka Heather an anxious Disney-insane 18-year-old College Student
This is my Pre-trippie for our upcoming Visit to the World! (December 19th – January 2nd)
Heres the cast of our trip:

Myself, 18, partial planner of our trip:

My Mother, (age to remain disclosed), She will be celebrating her birthday at the World!

My Father, (age also disclosed), his job is extremely stressful and loves to relax at Disney.
(I actually do not have any pictures of them at the current time)

We annually take a trip to Disney to escape the insanity that is North Carolina on the Holidays. This year just happens to include my mothers birthday with a lovely dinner at Jiko. Instead of celebrating Christmas with my mothers side of the family - which is an antagonizing 5 1/2 hour drive from where we live - we celebrate "Christmas" on Thanksgiving. We just exchange presents and thanks and go about our lives.

More coming up!

Chapter 1:

About the Author:
Well, my name is Heather.
I joined DISboards last year to gain unique and unusual tips about WDW. In the past it has just been me and my parents, but the last two years my friend Erica has joined us. I'm one of those people who there are a few people in this world that I can stand spending more than a week with at a time. This wasn't one of them. It was her first time, and she wanted to try everything! she also got mad at me when I didn't go on certain rides because I get extremely nauseous on things that spin, go fast, or dangle me from weird angles. So this year its just me and my immediate family.

My Mother is a hard-working Office Manager of a Dentists office, My Father, a pulp and paper engineer. Both are stressful jobs. I am a first semester college student and I'm glad that this long Disney trip is happening after dead week.

Our original plan was to include my DBF. But come to find out his leave is inconveniently a week AFTER we leave for Disney. :sad1:

We are staying at the All Stars Sports Resort. We've been loyal stayers of ASsp, mainly because we love the giant theme. This year we've decided to be insane and stay a longgggg 14 days :goodvibes instead of our usual 6-7 days. We've got ADR's at our usual restaurants and I'm excited about this trip!

This will be my 20th trip to Disney since I was 2 years old (1992), I absolutely love anything related to Disney. I've come to know a lot of the secrets, and i'm learning even more each day.

Great start, I bet you're getting excited now or does 20 trips make it less special? I doubt it as you're going back again :rotfl:

What ADRs do you have? Are you trying anywhere new?

It's so nice in my opinion to spend a couple of weeks there, you can get to do most things and take your time - sounds like you and your parents deserve a relaxing time :goodvibes

So sorry your DBF can't make it :sad1: Were you expecting it? Or did you have some idea it could happen?

Can't wait to hear more, what are your favourite things at Christmas time?

:santa:

I forgot to add something to the about the author part in chapt. 1
I have a juvenile type 1 diabetic. I've had it since I was 11, and i've got an Insulin Pump. on my real TR you'll probably hear about me having to give myself large amounts of insulin to cover all the Dole Whips and Kona Puffs i'll indulge. :rotfl:

Just updating on our plans today.
I've already started a packing list, chock full of ridiculous stuff. I've even went and bought some new clothes. The places around here had some great sales for Veterans Day.

I found out that my best friend that I have not seen in over 5 years since she moved to Texas is going to be in Gainesville, FL the week of Dec 21st. So we've planned to have a night at DTD on Dec 21st, might even check into DQ.

To answer the questions of Becx N Gav, isn't every Disney trip special? :goodvibes The past 20 times do not make any difference to me, I'm still addicted to Disney more than ever!

I was expecting my DBf to be able to go to Disney with us, but since his leave is very inconvenient we are going to attend a Dinner party/Ball that the Marine Corps is holding at Camp Lejeune.

We have planned our itineraries to which ADR we have each night. So far we have Jiko, Cape May Cafe, LTT (x2 - 1 lunch, 1 dinner), Kona, House of Blues, Most of our lunches are going to be CS or we might just eat our way around the world again, i'm pretty sure I can fit a couple of Dole Whips in here!

**On a side note, my mother decided to set the toaster oven on fire, which ended in me missing my first two classes to stay and watch the fire department tear into our walls. We now have a gaping hole in our kitchen that needs to be repaired before we head off to Disney. Off to find an affordable contractor!
