Inscription in Book -- Baby Shower?

I have to go to a baby shower for a not so close friend at work. Years ago he was a student from a local college who was a very nice kid and I often chatted with. He bought his first nephew a book back then and was very proud of it and said he always enjoyed the book when he was younger.

Fast forward he has since graduated from college and moved back to the area and has a permanent position with our company. His wife also works there.

Now, for the question. I bought the nice hardcover book for his baby shower and I need something to inscribe inside. I hate to give a book without some sort of inscription.

Any suggestions?

How about something like "I hope you enjoy reading this to your baby for many years to come"? Or "May this give you many special moments to share with your child"?

Wishing you much love and laughter and baby smiles. All the best ~ Your name

The first steps a baby takes are into your heart. :cloud9:

I love this (because it is so true) and used it on my SIL's babyshower invites.

Thanks a million! I knew I could count on people on this board. You are Great!

I always use this one from the Bible:
"Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6
