For anyone and everyone who ever runs on a track, or knows anyone who does:
Mizuno track spikes for both men and women (shoes that you screw metal spikes into on the bottom to increase traction and speed on a track for running events) are on sale for $4.88 in almost every size.

Free two day shipping, and free return shipping if they don't work out. I'll be reliving my high school days on the base track for my speed work from now on.
Note: These offer little to no support, so they're for experienced runners, and mostly just for speed work for endurance type athletes. Obviously not for use on roads, concrete, asphalt, etc, only dirt, grass, and rubber. As always try them out for a few workouts before you do any crazy interval work or mileage to see how your feet respond. You can get a 100 pack of the actual metal spikes for around $13 via the same site, or might be able to find them cheaper locally.
Edit: Upon further research I found another site for about the same price ($4.75) and with more models available, but I don't think free shipping is an option. I guess track season is over?
