Ins and Outs of Hopper Passes

We're going for the 1st time to WDW in 2 weeks...I just want to make sure that I understand how the Hopper Pass works (not Pass Plus)...Is there the capacity to keep track of the amount of time that you have used - like a phone card? How many hours are a 1/2 day? How long is a full day? We're a family of 5 there for 7 full days on a 5 day hopper. We hope to spend time at all the parks, relax a bit, and spend either a day at BB or US...Our 1st day we may only spend a few hours at WDW due to our flight arrival and the last full day we have PS Character breakfast...

welcome! Your 5 day hopper is good for just 5 days in the parks. In other words, if you enter MK on monday you can "hop" to AK, Epcot, MGM and back to MK as many time as you want ON MONDAY. You have just used 1 day on the hopper. You now have 4 days left. Unless you have a hopper plus pass you will need to buy additional tickets for the waterparks - they are only included as a "plus" feature. If you are arriving mid day or later I wouldn't recommend "wasting" a ticket on your first day since you wont have enough time to appreciate any of the parks.

We have the 6 day hopper plus (first time w/plus. So we have 3 plus days - can we do all 3 water parks the 1st day? Then Disney Quest the 2nd...you get the idea. Or would each water park use 1 plus day?

Each visit to a water park uses up one of your "plus" options. So, if you visited all 3 water parks on the first day, you'd use up all 3 of your "plus" options.
