We decided to go for it. Just don't know which to make our home resort. We are older (by older I mean mid forties). We are expecting some peaceful times for a few years with kids in college then we're hoping for a fun grandparenthood (like trips to Disney...)some years down the road. (God willing). I like the idea of Vero but have never visited the resort. I worry that the dues there might go up at a much faster rate than at the WDW resorts because of the location. (Real estate taxes may escalate faster in that area) Anyway, any push in either direction is appreciated from this knowledgable crowd.

If you are planning on doing most of your visiting at WDW, then I would buy VWL (or OKW or BWV through resale). Vero is beautiful, so I keep reading :) I will get there one of these days :) If VERO is where you plan to go the most, then buy VERO. Buy where you plan to stay the most. I am sure you have heard that over and over, but it is the best advice you will get :) Best of luck to you on your decision.

Pharm- I would go for onsite resort- if you're looking at taking young'uns down the road I'd be looking for the 11 month window. I don't think it's that hard to get into VB and I think beachfront property inherently carries more maintenance issues. Don't overlook resales- we had a very good experience and saved a little. This only applies if you prefer OKW or BWV

We just bought at VWL. We thought about VB last May, but opted to wait for VWL. I can imagine going to VWL and relaxing there and possibly not going to a park at all(yea, right). Anyway, We're 47 and plan to go back there many times ourselves with and without kids.

As has been previously said...Purchase where you intend to be most of the time.

We purchased at BWV, since we really like EPCOT and MGM. WLV are very nice (we toured in Feb.). Resells are an option for OKW and BWV.

Having the home resort reservation window of 11 months at WDW will allow you to visit almost anytime of year. If you only have the 7 month windows that VB would provide, you may have to adjust your vacation plans to miss the busy times at WDW.
