we have never stayed at BCV before and will be in early June. I would like to hear everyone's who has stayed there's thoughts on room requests for when I do our online check in. Canal view vs woods view. Higher vs lower floor etc.

If you want a good view do not, request a view when you do online check in. Send an email to MS via the member website as soon as you make the reservation.

We have stayed all over the building and prefer the pool view over the drainage canal, woods wetland, or courtyard.

We have stayed woods, courtyard and pool and liked them all but if I had to choose, I'd choose pool view. Although for our next trip in August I will throw all requests out window in hopes of getting a refurbed room

We've stayed at the Villas a few times. We had a ground floor room near the canal and it was horrible for us. I like to open the blinds in the morning while we get ready for the day but because of a lot of foot traffic we couldn't do that! We found people actually walking by- stopping in front of our patio door and peering in! We stayed during a "slower" time of year so the foot traffic would have been even worse during "busy" season! All other visits were higher floors with a full balcony over-looking the quiet pool- and they were great locations for us! Where ever you wind up- enjoy your visit!!!

We've never stayed on the first floor, but I definitely wouldn't want to. The only potential problem with canal view is that it may get you a room on the road side-it did for me once, view of the canal. So after that I'd call and request canal view on the pool side, then at on-line check in I'd request pool view and always got that area-canal view on the pool side. However, the woods view is generally a little quieter and more peaceful.
