Is there anything worth doing for a 4yr old DS at Innovations? He's fairly curious but gets bored easily as well. When he goes on rides at local parks, he's more apt to watch the mechanical "innards" than to actually just enjoy the ride like a normal kid :3dglasses

My DD showed interest in Innoventions for the first time last year when she was almost 4. She really liked the "Fire" game where as a team you go and find all the fire hazards in the house and the "game" where they have fire drills.

They also have an exhibit about plants and bugs, robots that play music (you punch in what instrument you want them to play, then they play it), and my kids' favorite, Velcro frogs! You get a frog made of velcro, then assorted "parts" that go on it, like clothes, sunglasses, Mickey ears, etc. Once it's decorated the way they want, they put a velcro band on the back and can wear it like a bracelet. There was also a station where they can do a Kim Possible lanyard tag (there are other stations at the other Future World pavilions to get other tags). I'd say try it. If he's bored, move on, no big deal. It may just be the hit of the day!

recycling activity, too. It is family oriented, so it's a little less intimidating than some of the other stuff there!

Oh, and she would LOVE What's Your Problem. It's an interactive game show about velcro :rotfl: of all things. All the kids at the show we went to had a great time.

Thanks everyone - I think we'll give it a try.

BTW, are they air-conditioned?

Cool, do you remember what side this was on?

Sorry, I always get confused in there :confused3 Just wander around, you'll find it. That's what I always do! :rotfl:
