We are going down to Stratford upon Avon end of August and we usually stay at the Travelodge nearby.

I saw an offer from Innkeeper's Lodge in the Sunday Mail which gives you the Sunday night free if you stay Friday and Saturday nights. Continental Breakfast is included.

I have booked this as it is such a great offer - only £90 in total for the 3 nights compared to £150 at the Travelodge and breakfast too which you don't get at Travelodge. It is also only 5 miles from Stratford compared to 8 miles for the Travelodge so seems a better option all round.

Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at one of these lodges and what your experiences were? Hope I have done the right thing here! ;)

Thanks :D

Hi Mazzy :D - they look to be quite a new chain. I found their website and, if you haven't done so, you might like to request a brochure from them to give you more of an idea of what they are like.
You may have got that great deal as they are just starting up and wanting to promote themselves, but hopefully someone else has had first-hand experience and will post :D

Hi Mazzy

I have stayed in an Innkeepers Lodge in Chester. Virtually identical to the Travel Lodge, restaurant is normally attached or just across the car park. Main difference is that at the Innkeepers the bathroom supplied soap, shower gel and the like, all included in the price.

The restaurant is normally a Toby Carvery, Harvester or Vintage Inn. Don't know of the last one I'm afraid. The other two are ok usually.

Hope this helps.

Hi Shirley - yes I did find the website thanks, and ordered a brochure on Sunday so it should arrive soon hopefully, so I can have a closer inspection! :D

Hi Dazzle - your experiences has given me hope! It is a Vintage Inn called The King's Head in Wellsbourne, which is just outside Stratford. According to the website there are only 9 rooms so it's not going to be that busy, which is a plus in my mind!

What did you think of the breakfast? Was there plenty to go round for everyone staying or was it a mad rush to get there before it all disappeared as I believe it is a buffet? I think it's pretty good value at £45 per night for a family room with breakfast too.
