Can you bring your own inner tubes? I heard that you can as long as they are transparent...anyone ever done this? We have stayed at this resort before but we never brought our own tubes...thanks in advance

yes--there's a thread here somewhere that even has a link if you want to buy them online. One poster also said she called and was told they didn't have to be transparent.

I'll be there in Oct with some from Nag's Head!

was just there last week. brought our own small transparebt green ones. No problems.

thank you thank you both!
I was worried that the thread was inncorrect...thank you!

Did you call the pool shop directly? Can this be confirmed by anyone else - or anyone that's been there very recently. We go in five weeks to BCV and I am waiting for the transparent tubes that I ordered online to arrive any day...

Yeah, but isn't it expensive to rent them there? I'd rather bring my own. I tried doing a search for the thread that listed the website to order from, but nothing comes up. Does anyone have the website?

I ordered tubes for SAB on the website posted on an earlier thread. Rec'd them 1 week after ordering. I think the site is:

www.poolcenter.com

They have transparent 30", 36" & 42" tubes for sale. :flower:

They are $3.00 per day. I did it one day & there was only 1 left to rent. I was glad I didn't get more because the kids spent most of there time on the slide.

In the past you've been able to bring your own clear tubes, however if it got too crowded, those not rented at SAB would be told to take them out of the water.

I recenly spoke to a SAB CM who told me that in the near future they would be ordering more "pool owned" tubes and at that time not allowing guests to bring their own any more. It's quite possible that is the case at this point in time.

You should still be able to bring your own noodles though...

Only $3 a day isn't bad at all. I thought I read that it was more like $10 an hour.

Actually I think it's $3 for an hour and $10 for the day.

I guess that's still not too bad, as long as they have a good supply. If I come in the afternoon and they are all gone, that's not going to be good.

They do run out sometimes, they limit the numbers so it doens't get so crowded you can't enjoy them. Just keep checking back if this happens, they get turned in al the time.

Yeah i called the yacht club...they transfered me to a pool person and they told me i can no longer bring my own inner tubes.
Whatever the rent-a-tubes aren't expensive

was there 2 weeks ago. I brought my own swim noodle. I liked it better than a tube. I tried a tube and it was actually too high up. I saw plenty of people with floats that they brought. They also sell noodles and I saw more people using noodles than anything else.
