DH had herina surgery today--

we were there from 830 till 330 he was scheduled for 1030 dr was running 45 min.s late.

all in all it was a long day!! surgery went great which is the best thing--took 45 mins. 1/2 hr in recovery and then about 2 hrs before he could go home

he got queasey from the anthes. and he had to be able to move around without getting sick before he could go home

anyways when we got home I called his folks to let them know everything went well and we were home.

so his dad says maybe we'll stop by around 630 or 7 to see how hes doing!!!!

good grief he just had surgery--it was a long day--they could just call and see how hes doing!!!

Dont they think that he should just rest?!!!

They're not the type to say not to come they're come anyways!!!!

This will be a long nite!!!

These are the same people that call to see how we like the weather
say after a snowstorm or T-storm!!!

what can I say--they need a life :confused3

How selfish of them. Imagine, wanting to see your child after surgery.

It's simply shameful. :sad2:

Well, not knowing much about the in-laws kind of hard to say.

But I see both sides. It is their child, but I understand you both need your rest for the next few days.

But, is a visit something you could use for your advantage? Maybe get some errands ran, or maybe just a few moments to yourself? Take a hot bath, sit outside & enjoy a soda or adult beverage, take a short ride?

If you are having to care for DH for the next couple of days, it might be nice to have a quick breather.

I agree with this. I hope you can use it to your advantage

Honestly with in-laws who haven't even attempted to visit us in almost 5 years, I would probably welcome your situation. Of course the grass is always greener on the other side ;)

I hope hte visit is a good one for everyone :)

Without knowing all your background info...all I can say is, accept the visit with grace. Run an errand if you need to. I would fully expect my DHs mom to visit him as my parents to visit me. I don't think we ever really stop being their children.

I'm glad your DH is doing well.
