Initial Reservations on DCL Then Transferring to Authorized Agent

I have a couple of questions. If I book a DCL sailing directly, how long do I have to transfer to an authorized agent? And if I transfer to authorized agent, like let's say Dreams Unlimited, will they allow me to use Disney GCs as payment? Will they offer incentive to transfer? Orrrr.....if I went directly to Dreams Unlimited first, may I use Disney GCs as a form of payment? Thanks in advance!

I believe it is 30 days to transfer. Dreams Unlimited does allow you to use Disney GCs as payment as far as I'm aware. They do offer incentives for transferring or they offer incentives to use them for the initial booking. Some TA's offer different levels of incentives depending on whether it's a transfer or initial booking but I do not know if DU is one of those.

Dreams unlimited offers half the obc (on board credit) if you transfer or have an on board booking. Full obc if you book directly with dreams unlimited.

Just a bit of clarification - you can use Disney gift cards to pay for your cruise. When you use a TA, you are not paying the TA, and they in turn pay the cruise line. The TA takes the gift card information and submits it to the cruise line. You are paying the cruise line, using the TA as your agent to transfer the funds.

As noted TA's often reduce the amount of incentive they offer if you first book direct and then transfer the booking to them. I'm not sure if Dreams Unlimited is one of those.
