Initial info requested for 25th Anniversary with DW from USA.

Hello Everyone! We have never traveled much (until about 10 trips to WDW because of DVC) but am interesting in broadening the horizons and decided to check into a 25th anniversary trip to Paris. Would like to spend a few days at Disney and then move around and see some of your world over there. Even though its just the 2 of us for once, we may actually ask our 2 favorite in laws also-but just a maybe. Anyway our Anniversary is August 28 2007 so we have some time. We were wondering which resorts are recommended at disney (appears Disneyland is the most points) and if any have 2 rooms or suites if friends did come with? Also would you recommend our actuall 25th be at some extra special area hotel, or should that be at Disney (we are freaks afterall)? Also is a week enough, or we could leave on Friday and come back the next Sunday. We are not rich, but do OK. Thanks in advance for any ideas and hope to see you in a couple years!

Hi jade1 and welcome to DLP DIS board

You'll find DLP considerable more compact than WDW. While I'm sure you would enjoy taking the parks at a more leisure pace you would not really need the week.

If the purpose of your trip is to see some of Europe and visit DLP then a couple of days staying on-site would probably suit you well.

I agree you don't need a week, although the park will be busy in August due to kids being out of school on summer holidays. Also avoid weekends if you can.
