Information Signs You Think Are Funny

Some of those signs are often described as "No Dancing on the Bus" signs.

My 6 year old DS loves this sign! He calls it the "No Dancing" sign. Occasionally we will be walking and then randomly just stop and say "Just Sitting, No Dancing!"

This sign on the trail at DAK always makes me chuckle because it makes no sense to me!

It is supposed to be a take on the broken-English often encountered when
signs are directly translated into English from other languages.

Tourist signs seen in Asia (or other non-English-speaking areas of the globe) often have awkward wordings and strange syntax that can jumble their meanings.

Thanks for the laugh on those Asian signs! So funny, especially the DAIRY bra. I worked at a Japanese company and these are not stereotypes. The same letter for L is the same as their R (hence "engrish"), and one of our drawers had a label from a label maker that said "CATAROG". I still smile about that. Of course, their English was tremendously better than my Japanese (which I was studying in college), so kudos to them! But some of those signs are so funny. I have no idea what the pregnant sign is trying to say!

I actually photoshopped this sign a few years ago to say No Dancing on the Ride since the kids kept pointing it out every time we saw the sign.

How about the "Speed Hump" signs?!?!

I laugh just thinking about them!!!

Oh my gosh! 2007 trip my sister and I were a little older than other trips and we cracked up at those!! Every time we saw them we'd be like "Speed hump!!" lol!

In my family we call that the "No bad dancing" sign.

for me it's "no disco dancing" as the little stick guy is doing the John Travolta Saturday Night Fever moves.

I noticed that at the back of the busses (or at least some of them), there are signs depicting no smoking, no eating/drinking, and then the third one looks like no cassette tapes. I guess this means not to play music out loud, but if that's the case, it's a bit outdated. Unless it means something else?

we call that sign "no smoking, no yellow submarines, no cassette tapes." Easy rules to follow. I do think it's actually a radio and is requesting no music be played out loud on the bus.

It's not at WDW, but the ride warning signs at Universal made me LOL. The warning about motion sickness has a little icon of a stick guy blowing a stream of little projectile vomit dots out of his stick head. Cracks. Me. UP. But I'd also buy a shirt with the bus dancing and dot-spewing warnings (it'd go with my monorail spiel shirt).

My DH and I regularly crack up at the "Speed Hump" signss, and the one with the little stick people on the ride is always good for dissolving us into laughter as he starts doing the dancing and I chide him about no dancing on the ride.

At one point in time, part of my welcome spiel when I worked at Kilimanjaro Safari may have included something along the lines of "Please remain seated, flat on the seat. Please do not kneel on the seat, please do not stand on the seat, and even if you remain seated while doing so, please do not hold your child up in the air like the opening scene of The Lion King"

Those signs are also in the bathrooms by RnRC at HS. Maybe I'm being dumb, but are there really people that need directions on washing hands? I mean most 2 year Olds know how to do that and they can't read.

We think it means that they want you to throw yourself off the cliff.

And another one from the UK:

This means exactly what it says: the British Army has a base nearby and conducts military maneuvers from time to time. Still, so funny!

This is from Israel, in the desert near the Dead Sea.

Again, totally legit, but so weird for us to see!

Oh here's another one from our Israel visit.

Since the Dead Sea is shrinking every year, this sign *used* to be legit... and then they left it there as a reminder when the sea evaporated and the shoreline moved.

I don't know about T-shirts, but my wife found a pin version.
