Any information on your experience with the weather in May.
We have always gone to WDW in September and I "KNOW" it is
hot and humid, :sunny: This will be our first trip in May and
I was wondering if it will be Hot and Humid? Will it be good swimming
weather. Thank you for any input.

JC

P.S. This is my very first post on DISboards and I just love
this site.

WDW trip 05/16, 9 nights at the Polynesian LVC after reading
this board and tikiman's site.

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

Averaage highs in mid-May are in the mid 80s, and morning lows are in the mid 60s. But temperatures can vary by ten degrees or so at that time of year. For example, we were there this past Mother's Day weekend for the HCOE kickoff and it was much cooler two of the days with highs only in the mid 70s.

The summer humidity usually has not kicked in yet, but if you're not used to Florida weather you will feel it! And you certainly can swim even if it is cool, all the WDW pools are heated.

Enjoy!

Bob

I was just there May 18-22 and it was hot hot hot! :sunny:
I would recommend you buy a hat to keep the sun off of you. I didn't and was quite ill one day  Not fun!

Welcome to the DIS.
We've been going the first week of May for the last three years. The last two the weather was wonderful, high 70's to mid 80's, but the first year we went it stayed in the 90's the whole time and DW was 6 months pregnant. But at least it wasn't summer humid yet. pirate:

We were in WDW for the second week of May this year. I thought the weather was wonderful. It was in the high 70's to mid 80's but low humidity. Perfect!

Welcome! As you can tell, there is a wide range of weather. Frankly, it can be HUMID on some days in May. Right now the heat index is pushing temperatures over 100 degrees, but it is relatively dry, and it feels much nicer to me than the humidity one sometimes encounters as early as May.

I agree though about planning around the peak sun periods......
