information on Disney store employment

Good Morning !!!!!!
I'm thinking of applying to work at my local Disney Store and I was wondering what the hiring process is like,How long before they contact for an interview?I imagine they do background checks and such
I'm wondering if they would hire someone without a GED (I am studying for it)
I know the money isn't great at all but, I LOVE DISNEY so much that it doesn't matter too much(wouldn't be the only income) are there any perks to working at the store?(besides being around Disney stuff)? I am such a fanatic!!!!! we are planning a trip for November and it seems so far away
I've been taping shows about Disney on the travel channel, I've sent for a planning video and I visit this site too much, some people might say I'm a little obsessed with Disney but, that's okay any feedback on this topic is appreciated, you can post on the board or feel free to email or pm me.

Ah, the dream of working for Disney! DH and I want to do that when we retire in Orlando.

If you don't get a response on this board, you might want to post over on the Community Board. As far as perks, I know that employees used to get discounts on WDW vacations, but now that TDS (The Disney Stores) were bought out by the company that owns The Childrens Place, those nice little perks might be over.

Not sure if you know, but the Disney Stores arent owned by Disney anymore. Sorry I dont know what the perks are.
