Yikes. Just watched a video from the UK staycation test cruise. It was like stepping back into last year with all the covid restrictions.

You need to keep in mind this was a UK cruise with rules based on UK guidelines. I’m not such things have been as lax over there as the US.

Just read they are not asking for vaccination status for august dream cruises.

Do you have a link for that? I'm curious as to whether that means everyone will need to be tested or that you won't need to show vaccination status because they will cancel those cruises? A company the size of Disney cannot have the liability of that many people on a cruise without knowing their covid status.

I think this is coming from the fact that people checked in for their upcoming US cruises last night, but they weren’t required to upload their vax cards like our UK guest. still no announcement. Everytime I see stuff like this, all I think of is testing for everyone and fully masked the entire time. it will be one or the other. There will be restrictions, but we don’t know what type and how many. Ugh. Dcl just needs to throw us a bone.

Do you recall when it asked you to take photos and upload if you can upload pictures of birth certificates and photo IDs instead of passport?

you can upload a picture of whatever ID document you will be using -passport, passport card, birth cert, enhanced driver's license, etc

They will probably test at embarkation like other cruise lines are doing.

Seeing the UK cruises I was thinking the same thing. However, we got an email from DCL, with the boarding procedure, not too specific, but the basic idea, and they do not mention tests. I wonder if we will need them in advance? Who knows?

They still need to clarify testing requirements, if vaccinated are exempt or not, mask requirements, shore excursion rules, etc.

Yes! We really would like that information! 4 weeks from today and we know nothing.
Here's the email. It took us 36 hours after we finished check in to get this. Others got theirs quicker.

When you arrive at your designated port arrival time, you will simply present the same documents you submitted during Online Check-In for a quick check. Once your boarding number is called, you will present your Port Arrival Form to board the ship. When your stateroom is ready, your Key to the World card will be waiting for you outside your stateroom. You are required to bring all documents submitted during the Online Check-in process with you to the port. Guests who do not have these documents with them will not be able to sail. I was thinking the same thing. Our check in date in 7/31 for our 11/13 cruise. That's saying they let us check in on that date.

I am beginning to wonder if that is the extent of the message we will ever get from them. Someone at DCL must just think that no information is the way to go. Can you image if 4 weeks go by and that is all you ever got. No word on anything else, just show up on Aug 9th and go for it? That's as close to a pre-pandemic situation as possible.
