Hi,

I have reservations for june at the Movie resort. I thought my kids would like the toy story things there. Plus it was the cheapest on site I could fine. $99 a night. Any information would be helpful. How is the pool. We have just a standard room.

Thanks

We stayed there in Nov a few years back. The pool was closed for referbishment.

We styed on the top floor in the back of the building away from the action. It was nice a quiet. We went to the food court by way of the courtyard, so we got to play in Andy's room. The icons were very cool. The food court was ok, standard food court stuff.

They are very large resorts and the busses fill quickly. This was the first time we used our rented car to travel all the time and I do reccommend it. Parking is free at the parks for resort guests (or at least it was at the time).

Have a good time!

we stayed here this past December, 1 night in Love Bug section, remaining stay in Dalmations

didnt think the walk was all that bad from either section, had a stroller from home for daughter so i never had to carry her after those late nights back from the parks so that might have made the difference

my 5 yo loved the theming - esp. the popcorn boxes/lights

there was photo op in the center of my section w/ a dalmation about my daughters size watching a "TV" that you could go stand in & take a pic

she also liked the fantasia section icons, the ballarina & the toy soldier

didnt try out the pool, although it is heated year round - but people were still out braving the cold air
lifeguards out everyday

all the sections use the same comforters which have icons on them from each section
but in your particular section the wall decorations in the room will be theme specific

laundry room was clean, not crowded at all when i used it (wednesday afternoon, probably most ppl still in the parks)
& stocked w/ detergent & softeners in vending machines
i think it was $2 to wash or dry & there was a change machine avail also

mousekeeping & cm's all friendly

main thing i didnt like was it's a motel but the moderates are motels also so my only other alternative is the deluxes

& believe all the posts about those toliets - they are LOUD!!!
luckily i listened & requested top flr, could only imagine knowing whenever guest above went to potty! LOL!

would stay here again if it's a mom/kid only trip to have add'l $$$ to spend elsewhere in WDW

If you drink coffee, you better pack your own coffee maker unless you don't mind getting up in the morning and walking to the food court. They don't have their own machines in the rooms and the housekeeping doesn't always clean the rooms very well, but other than that it's a wonderful place to stay.My three kids loves it there. They thought is was part of the park.:earsboy:
