Infomation need on SSR 2 bed accessible villa

Hi
Does anyone have any experience of a 2 bed in SSR that is accessible? Are both bathrooms convereted or just the main one?

Apart of the bathrooms do they change anything else about the room, my parents have been in an accessible studio in SSR and didn't like the space around the bed and the lack of closet space compared to a normal studio. This time we are all travelling togther so will be getting a 2 bed but don't want that same problem in the studio section.

any experiences, tips or photos would be really apprecaited.

I have pictures of the one bedroom part of a fully accessible 2 bedroom unit at SSR. It basically is the same arrangement as a non accessible one bedroom. I'm on my ipod, so cant post a link to the pictures right now, but they are with my photos on the wdwinfo.com part of this site.
All the ones we stayed on were lock offs.
The second bedroom part ( the studio) would be the same as the accessible studio your parents have stayed in before. Other people have also complained about not being able to access the closet.

Actually, this is not my experience but we did have a decicated 2BR. Can't remember the exact number without looking it up but in our case it was the main bedroom and main bathroom that were set up as accessible.

Because of the extra closet in that main bedroom (located in a tucked away part, but accessible enough to use in some ways that suits a persons possibilities and tricks) that bedroom had loads of storageroom as far as I'm used at WDW property. A large drawercloset beneath the tv (pics all over the web of that one) that could easily store all of my clothes and enough other stuff I had along for our 3 week stay. Formentioned closet? Let's see, it easily held 3 suitcases, 3 carry ons, large amount of medical supplies and about a suitcase size worth of "can not buy them overhere and bringing them back home all kinds of grocery and nongrocery stuff".

My mom used the "studiopart" and found a bit less storage place. IMHO the total is enough for a not too big group, but too little if you are at the max. capacity possible for the 2BR.

As far as that "studiopart" goes; I could move around without any problems in the bedroom. Same goes for the sinkarea, both areas were no problems for me to navigate in either my manual or powerchair. The bathroom itself? I could manage fine enough to grab back my shampoo after mom would've taken it out of my shower and forgotten to put it back in again (regularly ). Wouldn't have been a picknick to use it as a main facility but in the case of absolute need (or not having to want to wait for mom to come back before I could get her to grab me whatever I needed out of there) I could manage to do those things in there with the manual chair.

Just to clarify - the OP's parent's experience was in an accessible Studio. That was the part where people have written that they had lack of access to the closet. It was not that the closet was missing in the studio part of the room, but several people have posted they could not open the door to the studio closet and use it from a wheelchair.

We have stayed in both an accessible one bedroom and a non- accessible one bedroom. The only differences between those are in the bathroom, the kitchen and the laundry area had front loading appliances where the non-accessible one we stayed in had a stacked washer and dryer, but the washer was top loading.
The bathroom is the same exact size, but arranged a little differently to make room for the roll in shower. The kitchen was a little wider, which meant the breakfast counter that is on the side by the tv was missing to make space for the wider kitchen. Other than that, the one bedroom villas were pretty much the same, with no difference in storage space. The closet in the one bedroom part was accessible from a wheelchair.

The Studio part of a dedicated 2 bedroom might be a little different because they would not have a door directly to the outside from that part, but the footprint of the one bedroom part should be the same whether it is accessible or not.
