Is there a way to just "rent" timeshare units without doing the timeshare presentation? If so where would we look to find the best rates? Do you go to each timeshares web page?

We have stayed at Westgate Lakes before (compliments of the in-laws!) and we loved the extra room and other amenities. However, I'm hearing so much about other places that I would like to try them out sometime although we are definitely not interested in buying a timeshare. Besides I could never get DH to even listen to a presentation.

Thanks.

www.skyauction.com

just look for the 7 days ones - they should only be extra charging you $195 +$15 -

www.tug2.net

you need to register - then go look at the bulletin board for last minute rentals - you don't need to join this websites to do this

www.redweek.com
you need to join cost $10

best deals are at skyauction - but watch carefully sometimes (in my opinion) the bids go too high - (but I own timeshares) - you need to remember that you are going to be adding in $210 - so in my opinion anything over $250 is just too high - depending upon the resort it could be as low as $150. Sometimes you can get a deal!!!

Thanks for the info. So with all of these sites there will be no pressure to do a timeshare presentation?

none - tell them up front that you are not interested - and if they call (which some will) just tell them again - if they kept calling - just hang up or don't answer the phone.

but if you light is dinking on the phone and you are interested in the activities at the resort - definite listen. sometimes they change (due to weather or child problem) and the activities have to change or they need to close the pool (children) - or sometimes they list the activities availability for that day. depends upon the resort.

also go to hotelkingdom.com and you will find condo rooms.
