Anyone used the Saratoga Springs Spa or Grand Floridian Spas? We're heading down in June and I'd like to treat my wife to a spa treatment. She'll be 3-4 monthes pregnant, so we're looking at the motherhood spa. Any reviews?

Come on, doesn't anyone have info on the spas? I'd like to book one if you feel they are worth the $$.

I've been to the GF spa. The treatment I got was nice, but the spa facilities themselves were not on a par with other hotel spas I've been to (e.g. in Las Vegas). They seemed cramped and somewhat thrown together to me (perhaps they were redesigning them or something, but there were no signs to indicate this). It was 3-4 years ago, of course, so things may have changed.

I will say that if you go to the GF and you're driving, enter at the Wedding pavilion driveway and you can park right along the spa building. If you use the main driveway you will have a long walk.

I've been to the spa at SSR several times and it is the best! It's pricey but
what a wonderful thing to give your pregnant wife. Yes, yes, YES!:goodvibes

What treatment did you get or do you recommend something?

What good timing! I'd be interested in this information too. My friend and I are going in May for her 30th birthday, and I thought I'd treat both of us to spa treatments. We'll be staying at Saratoga.

I have one question to add - do we need to book spa treatments in advance of our trip, or can that be done when we arrive?

Thanks!

I would have to agree with the previous post, the spa at the GF is on the smaller side and feels cramped. I went to the spa at Sarasota Springs in September and that was much better. More open and airy and they had a great locker room with a hot tub & sauna (although your wife won't use these) plus big clean bathrooms and the amenties to fix yourself up after your treatment (blow dryer, hairspray, etc.) I would definitely suggest Sarasota Springs.

As for booking ahead I would if you have a set time that you need to do it or if you are trying to get both of your treatments at the same time.
