Info on the crane at the Castle on 11/16

We were at WDW from 11/14-11/19 and the first thing we saw when we went to the MK was the crane over Cinderella's castle. We had our pics made and asked the CM photographer about the crane that was going to "spoil" our pic. He said that the crane was installing a room in the castle that would soon be part of a fantastic surprise. Every day (not sure about this) a family would randomly be chosen to spend a dream night in the apartment in the castle.

Has anyone else heard abou this?

Yes, Part of the Year of a Million Dreams promotion. They are giving away 1-night stays in the castle suite starting next year.

The crane was there when i went too. It was there on 11/26 but gone but 11/28. My uncle works for Disney and was telling me they just had to rip out the entire elevator shaft going to the room because it did not meet wheelchair requirements and they were just finishing up replacing it.

I can only see the crane in about 2 of my pictures, we were trying some crazy angles to cover it with trees and other things, lol.
