Staying at POFQ 11/25-11/30. Can any Disers recommend good rooms at this resort first time here for myself and DW:santa:

This is a terrific resort! We stayed in Bldg 5, on the third floor, in a corner room, and with a lovely view of a nice courtyard. Everything is close and the size of the property is not too big. But, yet it was still peaceful and quiet. Bldg 5 was one of the closest buildings to the foodcourt/lobby area, and also very close to the pool.

I think POFQ is a great resort, no matter what room you have its great... the resort is small, quiet, sophisticated, and there are lots of romantic spots. There are fountains, you can take a nice walk around The Sassagoula River, or enjoy a carriage ride. The boat to DTD is great and very convienent. You can walk on over to POR and enjoy Boatrights (great breakfast)...
Scat Cat's Lounge is fun but if the Piano man is playing at POR, take a walk on over to see him; he puts on a great show!!!

I think you are going to have a great time... Its a really nice resort!

I agree with everything that was previously stated.

We had room 5303. It was at the end of the building that is closest to the food court and only a few steps to the pool. The only negative was that the elevator was at the other end of the building. There was no point in walking to the elevator (it was farther away than walking up) so we had to walk up 3 floors every day, many times. Next time I would ask for 5103 or even 5203. That part of the building is absolutely perfect.

We were in 5303 too! Just for one night, then switched to 5201 for the remainder of our stay. I agree -- There is no point in using the elevator if you are at this end of the building. Exception would be if you are toting your own luggage, then you would use it. The steps aren't bad at all.

Even though we were so close to the food court (I'm not sure we could have gotten any closer unless were were on the first floor), we never heard people. Our view was very nice. The pool was just a short walk, the laundry area just steps away. I'm not sure there is any building at POFQ that would be disappointing, but building 5 is just about perfect. IF we ever go again, that's what we'll be requesting.

We will be there 11/24 - 12/1 and it will be our second visit. The resort is so small that I don't think any of the buildings are bad. We were in building 3 on the 3rd floor in a corner room last time and loved it.

Hope to see you guys at the resort staying there myself and DW 11/25-11/30:santa: 13 more days.............
