Could someone please tell me about the pin trading event? There hasn't been one since I started playing vmk, and I'm curious how it works. Thanks!

Here are some tips for the pin trading event.

Make sure that the pin you want to trade is a series pin (Tiki, Food, Hotel, etc). It had to have a value of 500 credits when you purchased it. Any other pins such as quest pins or pins sold less than 500 credits will not be acceptable in the trade events.

Also, please try to keep conversation with the Staff at a minimum - the trading will take longer and there is nothing like dcing right when you see that pin in the trade box. :badpc:

Good Luck and have fun. :thumbsup2

you think they will trade the HM pins or Churro Pin?

Not sure what pins will be available. It could be just pins from the Summer Host Games or pins from other Host games this whole year.

I know I do have a few pins that I am hoping to see again. ;)

im not going to have anything to trade with... since all my series pins are banned on my main character..

What do you have to trade for some of these pins? Like, what would I have to trade for a Pirate Attraction 1/5?

It's like disvaclub92 said. The way it has worked with the most recent pin trading is that you needed to trade a pin that cost 500 credits, like those available as a special during a weekend event. They usually will take any pin in trade, as long as it meets the above criteria.

So you could trade a Tiki or a hotel or an everest or an inner space or a food or a ... for the Pirate Attraction 1/5. Which, coincidentally, is one that I need too. I also need the 2/5 but I don't know if they'll be trading that since you could buy it. But maybe. :thumbsup2

They won't take any pins that you get from the NPC's, like Ned pin, Blackheart pin, Yeti pin, etc., or any of the pins that are always for sale in the shops, like the 25 credit ones. (Although they used to a long time ago. ;) )

Thanks so much for the help! I would have felt nervous going in with no idea what I was doing. I'm really looking forward to this! :)

I don't know if they'll accept a Host game pin (like Churro, Surf, of the others)
in trade, but I would say they probably would. So if you wanted to trade
Churro for Pirates 1/5 (or whatever pins are available), I would think they
would accept it.

Also, click on the Host first. Typically the Host will only trade pins that
he/she is wearing. And the Host will ALWAYS start the trade. We players
should not click the trade button. Hosts will click ours when they are
ready to trade with you.

And I agree to keep any chatter with the Host at a minimum. A quick
hi and thank you, and I'm outta there. ;)
