Does anyone have pix or info on the apartments for PI's...I remember when PI's were able to stay in the regular housing...it was nice and cheaper...I stayed in Chatham while I did my Entertainment Internship...I am going for my Masters and want to do one last PI...

I was thinking about getting my own apartment, but it might be too much of a hassle trying to move furniture for just 6 months.

For what it's worth, I thought Northbridge was ok. I liked that it was gated but I still didn't feel safe. And I didn't like that it was so close to the orange county jail. Especially because on 2 occasions police helicopters flew over head and shined spotlights around the complex. It was nuts! During the day however it was a great place!

Thanks for the links...are they furnished apartments? are the rooms pretty good sized...what size apartment did you live in? sorry for all the questions...

Can PI's do the roommate request thing like the regular cp's do?

The apartments are furnished when I was there (Fall 2005) all the furniture was new so it's probably still in pretty good condition. The rooms are a good size if you get the master bedroom. Otherwise it's a tight squeeze. I was in a 2B/2B and in the smaller bedroom thier bathroom wasn't attached and the closet was way smaller.
You couldn't request a roommate inadvance but we checked in at the same time and then requested to room together and it worked out.

If you have no plans to stay after your PI then Northbridge is a pretty good idea. But it is overpriced and management treats you kinda bad because you don't hold the lease so they know you aren't going anywhere. In our apartment 2 months before our internship was over the internet stopped working. We called them and went to the front desk NUMEROUS times but got no response. Finally we made a big enough stink that they sent a maintence man who looked at it goes "yeah, it's broken but I don't know why." and we never heard from them again. We told the disney people who inspect our apartment for check out, though. It was a really frustrating situation!
