Info on Lake Whipoorwill KOA

Son's High School band is marching in the parade on the 24th so we're coming down for the week. Fort is all booked up so got a site at the Lake Whipoorwill KOA...anyone stay here?...Nice place?

I don't know about the KOA but I do want to tell you that you will LOVE watching your son's band march down Main Street.

I had two sons in their high school marching band two years ago and they did the same thing marching down Main Street (it was early April for us). We had a 10am parade and they started down by City Hall next to the Fire Station and went up and around the circle in front of the castle and over to Frontierland and back behind Splash Mountain (the typical MK parade route).

There was another high school band from our state marching that same night too.

What time is your son's parade? You'll have to think strategically to get good pix. I stationed myself between Casey's Hot Dogs and the circle, then while the band stopped momentarily in front of the castle, I hustled through Adventureland and ducked right by Tiki Birds and came out by Country Bears to get some pix there.

PS - you might want to edit the title to put the Lake Whipporwhill name in it to give it more visitibility and hopefully someone will see it and answer.

What time is your son's parade?

He marches at 3pm so we're going to get over there about 1 to start staking out a spot.

They march in the parade every 4 years so we'll be back down then with younger sister!

We have stayed there a few times. It's no FW but it is very nice there. I have never been there in December we usually go there in July to use the lake.
