We might be going back!!! As a member of the Hilton Honors reward program, we were offered a rate of about $50 per night for 3 nights at the Hilton at Downtown Disney. I have seen the rooms, etc. from all of the Internet sources, but I always trust DIS board opinions. We have 7 days left on our 10 day hoppers and are considering a split stay. I believe that this is too good to pass up. How is the transportation from the Hilton? I believe that they are the only hotel in the WDW village that has Extra Magic hour benefits. Is this true? If we walk to Downtown Disney, can't you get transpoetation from there. Any comment on the rooms and service at the Hilton would be appreciated.

Yes, I believe you are right about the EE hours, and you should be fine walking to DD for your transporation. I think the Hilton also offers transporation, but it is on more of an hourly schedule. I wouldn't pass up this deal. We stayed at the Grosvenor before our last stay, and really could stay in the DD hotels without missing the true Disney hotels too much. The atmosphere was still pretty "DISNEY"

We used our Hilton Honors points for part of our stay in June. We had an executive suite with a great view of Downtown Disney and even EPCOT's fireworks. I do believe you can use EMH at the Hilton and it is literally a stone's throw away from DD for catching the bus.

It was a nice hotel (but couldn't compare to the Poly). It was clean and very spacious. Service was good, as well. We didn't have time to use them, but the pools look nice.
I'd post pics, but I'm still too new. Sorry.

Just stayed first and last night of a trip. Room was nice, great beds and bedding, very nice bathrooms, especially second night. Our room looked just like the pictures show decor wise. DS used the pools and they were very nice with cushioned lounges for me :thumbsup2 Literally minutes to DTD as it was across the street. Several restaurants inside, but we went to DTD. We had access to Executive Lounge and the continental breakfast was enough for us. Never made it for the 5-7 food, but the evening snack was variety of fruit, nuts and homemade cookies. Second night we had view of MK fireworks, that was nice. For that rate I would RUN not walk.

We are rewards members too and just got back from the Doubletree (I would not stay there again, no EMH) at DD. The bus from The Dbltree stops at the Hilton and two other hotels over there -- not bad service, but the busses were very dirty. Bus runs every 1/2 hour I think on the hour....

We got that $50 rate too -- but it req'd a timeshare presentation for Hilton Grand Vacations Club. Still worth it!

Have fun planning!

If you walk to DTD for transport you can ONLY go to another resort where you can change buses to go to a park. Takes a while.

Disney no longer goes from DTD to the parks just to avoid this and to discourage folks from parking at DTD to avoid the parking fee.

I didn't receive that offer. Is it for a specific time period? And do you have to sit through the Grand Vacation offer?
