Info on flying virgin manchester to orlando

thats what i meant by pointless. magical express is the way with disney and if youre with va, save the 20 bucks and use it towards your transport to the airport. you leave your luggage with the bell-hop at your hotel, why bother to go to dtd and give away 20 big ones? wasnt criticising, just commenting.

I don't class it as pointless, we stay in a villa so use DTD, get rid of the suitcases and then go where we want to, arriving at the airport an hr before. no cases to drag from car hire- just go straight to departures-easy :thumbsup2

Walking past the big queues at the airport for people who didn't use/know about DTD check in is also pretty fun ;)

:goodvibes

The way I see it, you either lose the hour or so in the morning doing DTD check in or you lose it at the airport later. I think you just have to decide what fits in best with your plans for that day.

I think I've just been lucky but it's never taken us anywhere near an hour at DTD :)

same here
Infact the dtd staff said to us that you should get there before 10am as thats when most of the hotel customers have to leave the hotel and head for dtd :confused3

you probably have a good point there - except for me - I dont drive so the thought of lugging our copious luggage :rotfl: onto a Disney bus and falling all over the pavements trying to keep it together ....

good job you have a car. im the one who gets lumbered with the bags and then leander spies that last-minute soft toy or snow globe.............

you have to keep all hand luggage with you for the rest of the day

We handed out hand luggage in to bell services in the am. with our big cases. I just locked them and had our bits n bobs for the day in my backpack. When we got our luggage for ME, I put my backpack into my hand luggage trolley case and away we went. Actually, not that simple - I needed help- but purely because I had done a spot :rotfl2::lmao: of shopping and we had plenty hold luggage!

It's worth it for those of us not staying in an hotel. you still have to check out of a villa in the morning but have to take your cases around with you. $10 is well worth it.:cheer2::cheer2:

Sorry to Highjack the thread. We are flying with Virgin but through Thomas Cook Signature, can we still use the DD check in? We have 8 in the party with 2 cars but don't really want to leave the luggage in the car all day as we have a late flight home.
